TQ lost its network connection for 30-60 seconds around 20:53. We have informed the server team and they are looking into the issue now. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |

Early investigation of the issue is pointing at a loss of network connection to the server, not a Tranquility crash. Difficulties in reconnecting to EVE can be attributed to 14k players attempting to re-establish their connection to EVE and hammering the log-in server.
Further investigation of the loss of connection to the server will follow. At this time, no more connectivity issues are expected.

We're getting ready to deploy the Turbo Gerbils, just in case.
If items were lost due to this issue, please submit a petition. The GMs have been instructed to reimburse losses accordingly.

The Network staff are continuing to investigate the network issues. I will post more information as it becomes available. Apologies for extending a premature "no more connectivity issues are expected" announcement.

Originally by: dosperado Looks like modern art if you look at the serverstatus monitor on EVE-World.de
The graph at EVE News is also showing a similar graph. However, our internal server graph is showing a solid curve for our user count, not the jagged one shown at EVE World or EVE News.

If you are stuck or unable to log in please clear your cache folder (...ccp\eve\cache) and if you are still unable to log in after that file a stuck petition (from an alt char if needed). A friendly GM will move your character in an attempt to solve the matter. Usually the character is transferred one jump BACK on your travelling route.
Remember that if you lost a ship or feel that you should be reimbursed in any way, file an "OTHER" petition (I know the do not work ingame), but they are located here or simply mail to support/at\eve-online.com They will all end up in the same place as "other" petitions do. ____________________________

We got the server guys to take another look. The original problem was network hardware, either on the main backbone connection to the place where TQ is hosted or in our equipment on site. At the massive login of player after everyone got disconnected, one of our proxy servers went into a bad state and caused people to lose connections. The limbo proxy process has been terminated and connections seems to be back to normal now. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |
