I'm hoping someone could help me out here. Are there ingame commands that I can use to target the nearest hostile target and/or cycle through all availble targets? What about a command that will make a specific bookmark active to use in sequence with a warp command incase of danger?
The last thing I want is the function to AFK-MACRO. I enjoy playing the game and am looking for a few commands or list of avaible commands that's recognized by EVE's interface.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe you should quit twisting words.
I expect a little more integrity in the forums here, please do not dissapoint. As stated, that's the "last thing" I want.
I would like the ability to press ALT+B to activate a predetermined bookmark if a command exists to do so. I would then like to press ALT+W to WARP if there's also a command to do so.
Are forum users as brainless as the only responder to my OP?

English is not everyone's first language, you know. When you said "the last thing", i've read it as "and finally i want...", considering that in the paragraph above you just outlined that you want to do a series of commands.
If you want to easily warp out in the case of an emergency, have your autopilot set to a nearby safe system, and just activate it if something goes wrong. Other then that, hit escape, and goto shortcuts. All accessible shortcuts are defined there. You'd think that people are not as brainless as those that don't look into the game's settings

Aren't misunderstandings wonderful? :P
Well...if there's a list of available "commands" found in a options/tools/ESC then directing me to them would have been better recieved. :)
Again, I'm not looking to "cheat" game play and am merely seeking command shortcuts. IS there a printable list of commands?
If you haven't noticed, I'm new to the game and am very intrigued at EVE's game play. I've not found a search function for the forums or I would have used it.
Sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for your responce...I'm assuming you cared enough to type it. :D

Eve has very few keyboard shortcuts, it's one of it's major shortcommings in my opinion.
You can see and change most of them by clickin esc and choosing the shortcut tab.

As Aura says, "When in doubt, right-click" If you have a book mark in the system, if you right click, it will bring up the bookmarks at the bottom of the right-click menu an you can just click on it and it will warp ya there.
Is there some disablility issue your are working with? I know CCP has been working to improve access to the game for issues like that. (not being able to use a mouse and such).

I noticed there's a "slash" command when typing / and hitting enter. Is there a list of acceptable commands recognized when using this?

In the next patch they are adding so that if you type only / you will get a list. But in general there aren't any / commands for normal use of us deadly (exept /me). They are all for ISD/GM usage.

Thanks for the info!! :)
Last night I went through a few avaible commadns through the ESC/tools function. I was able to set up one to LAUNCH (ALT+L) and one to autoPilot (ALT+A). These both are removing my hands from the mouse and making game play more enjoyable. these are the types of settings and features I'm looking for.
If anyone is able to share some quick commands or hotkeys they've set up it would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance!!

Well, I for one sympathise with the OP. I tend to use keyboard shortcuts in lieu of the mouse whenever possible ... and haven't found many truly useful ones as of yet. Setting Alt+A for autopilot sounds like a handy one! :)

One good shortcut that is easy to miss is ctrl+a, it selects all in the current window. If it's a chat window this means all text but if it's a can it means all items in the can. Very pratcial when picking up loot.

Very convienant! Do this pick the items up too or just select/highlight them? If not, is there a command to actuall pick up the items? ...thinking ALT+P for pickup would be nice :)
Hopefully once I've been able to gather as many shortcuts as possible we can get a well detailed list of quick commands to remove and keep our hands off the mouse as long as possible.

Yeah, I always use this while docked to transfer my loot from cargohold to my hanger. Hold alt + a, while still holding it..I'll deselect my ammo and maybe anything else I want to leave in the hold. Now when I click and drag my my ammo in the hold. Big time saver...though in space..it's rare for more than 3 items to drop in a container for me...so It's just as quick to drag them all 1 by 1. There's no auto-transfer shortcut that I know of.
It would be nice to put a little "take all" icon at the top of the container window which would just transfer everything in the container to your cargohold.

I use:
ALT + A = Autopilot ALT + X = Undock (eXit) ALT + C = Cargobay ALT + D = Dronebay ALT + F1 = Afterbooster
ALT is used to activate mid-slots. I always put my AB in slot 1 on all my ships so the keyboard shortcut is the same for all of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Still working on |

I was also looking for some way to activate all my highslots at once other then pressing F1, F2, F3..etc. Would be convenient..but not crucial. With 8 turrets mounted on a catalyst, you could see why. Though due to a totally unrelated incedent...the debris of my beloved destroyer is still floating around Mara...so I don't worry about having to activate 8 turrets 4 times in a battle.

Oh nOEs!!
[nervously thinks about a recently outfitted Destroyer]
Well... I hit the series of F-KEYs before I even get lock if I know what I'll be attacking. Once I hit F1-F4 then move the cursor out into space there will be little crosshairs which you can place on a target. You will _not_ fire until a lock is gained. This is a nice way to get an alpha strike. :)

Ah yes...that does make sense.
I've found destroyers more prone to 'forced dismantling' because they aren't worth a ransom and the Catalyst in particular I believe has a thin coat of tissue paper in place of armor.

What I would really like to see as a destroyer pilot is a single button that'll fire all weapons, F1-F8 every 2-3 secs is annoying esp when also having to lock a new target in that time as well
