If you wanted money back, you shouldn't have agreed to the EULA...

For the whole hour or so you can't play? So they owe you about...ú0.01 in compensation. That seems soooooooooo worth it. |

Well, it looks like it will be on soon anyways. Don't know why you're complaining though Myrmidia, CCP seems to be the best at keeping their players informed of what's going on and when they'll get it fixed. Sony Online could learn a few things from them.

Heh... not to grouse, but it's been over an hour now.
I hope they're able to resolve the problem soon. I won't have much time this evening to play.

Ok, first of all you agreed to whats happening at the mintue, you agreed to the EULA (go read it if you want proof).
CCP Do not refund, hardware failure happens!
At least with CCP they get it fixed at least within an hour or two. Gives out the career adivce only a psycho can give! |

Do you have aaaaaaaany idea how law or contracts work? You actually agreed to them not compensating you should there be a hardware failure
I believe this is the passage from the EULA:
Quote: 12. NO WARRANTIES The Software, System, Game and all Game Content, and all other services and material provided in connection therewith, are provided "AS IS," with all faults, and without warranty of any kind. You assume all risk of use and all risk associated with accessing the System and playing the Game.
CCP disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose and non-infringement. There is no warranty against interference with your enjoyment of the Game. CCP does not warrant that the operation of the System or your access to the System, or that your use of the Software, will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that the System or Software will be compatible with your hardware and software.
While CCP attempts to have the System available at most times, CCP does not guarantee that the System will always be available, or that the System will not become unavailable during Game play. The System may become unavailable for a number of reasons, including without limitation during the performance of maintenance to the System, for the implementation of new software, for emergency situations and due to equipment or telecommunications failures.
Enjoy.

Heh.. yeah, I have a lovely collection of technical manuals I could study. I've been doing a lot of that.
Ah.. but I see a message suggesting that the problem is now solved... they're currently booting the system up as I type this.

From my expierence on Eve when you log out you are automatically warped to a safe spot in the middle of nowhere, then when you log back on you warp back to where you were, so no worries, I hope

FWIW. A EULA cannot take away statutory legal rights.
