Hey guys,
i'm thinking about the fitting of the Phoenix. do you have to mix normal stuff with capital one's?
Is it like this?
Phoenix (Caldari)
4 high slots: 1 Siege module I 3 Citadel Torpedo launcher
7 med slots: 1 capital shield booster 1 shield boost amplifier 4 hardener 1 cap recharger II
5 los slots 3-5 Power diagnostic II 0-2 ballistic controll II
Or how do you fit such a ship?

To digress a little:
I think the reason we dont get much talk about Dreadnought fittings here, is that Dreadnoughts are a lowsec only ship. As such, the people that fly them tend to be lowsec pilots who are generally more clued up on the game (or at least think they are), and don't need this forum so much to ask for fittings. Combined with the fact that not many people fly them yet either due to expense, skill training, or them being a pile of crap.
Personally, if I was fitting a Caldari dread, I'd be fitting it for full tank + full weaponry, including a siege module. Fitting anything other than damage or tanking mods is a bad idea, since a dread should never be without lots of friends, who should be carrying scrambling, ewar, etc etc.
Purely hypothetical of course, since I have never, and never intend to, fly a dreadnought, but it seems the logical way to look at things. So in short, your setup looks like something around what I'd be using. Although after RMR probably with a invuln fields, a cap injector and a ****load of boost charges in my muchos large hold.

If you're gonna spend all that money on a dread, then don't be cheap when equipping it.
Normal T2 modules don't really give you the same kick as if you invested in some nice named stuff. Stuff like Tobias's Modified anything should be what you're really aiming for.

TBH, Dread = 1.5bil Full T2/Capital Fittings = 300mil ish?
Full top officer/faction fittings = 2.5bil ish (Pith Amp alone is going on 1B)
So saying that you should fit a dread with the best faction gear cos you've spent 'all that money' on it doesnt neccessarily follow. Some people may rather have 2 fully fitted T2 Dreads than a single fully faction fitted one.
Like I said, your fitting is probably bang on. At a guess, I'd fit it something like a big Raven:
3 Citadel Torp Launchers Siege Module
Capital Shield Booster Copasectic Amp 2x T2 Invuln 55% EM Hardener XL Shield Extender Heavy Electro Cap Injector
3x PDU II 2x BCU II
I'd imagine you could fit a fairly good PvP passive tank on a ship with a load of XL extenders, actually....

Quickly-thought probably something along the lines of:
1 Siege Mod 3 Citadel Launchers
1 Capital SB 1 Shield Boost Amp 1 Sensor Booster II 1 EM Hardener 1 TM Hardener 1 Invulnerability field 1 Target Painter II / Sensor Booster II / 40km Web / Shield Boost Amp
3 BCU 1 Damage Control 1 PDS II

Xl extenders... which dont exist. Oh, and a Phoenix (with Energy Management 5, high skills should be assumed for a DN pilot) has over 40 000 cap. What the hell good is a Heavy cap injector popping 800 charges? ---:::---

PITH shield amplifier for example the one that is like 42% or something like that and full set of regular grade crystal implants including OMEGA, this is something that would really increase capabilities of your phoenix and 3 ballistic controls preferably officer ones is rather a good idea
if you have isk for dreadnought you should have isks for this stated above that will really increase your phoenix capabilities

Greetings eve community,
Forgot where but I was reading it somewhere 2 or so months ago that there is a bug and crystal implants do not give a bonus or a proper bonus to capital shield booster module. Can anyone please confirm that it is still so or it has been resolved and works now?
Regards.
