I made a new portrait with tattoo...two times....the correct new portrait shows up and after a while (next day after work e.g.) the tattoo is gone. While inspecting my character throught "View Full Body" it is displayed.

Is that the Problem mentioned here? Then I have the same problem with my female character. Or is this problem something else?

I had this problem of setting both sleeve tattoos & then them disappearing the next day.

I went back in an set them again & now they are showing. For how long is anyone's guess.

EDIT - Ok, it seems that when i look at the character it's not there. But when i click to look at the portrait it is. However when i then look at the character model, its not there. Think this is just my client being special?

Requesting magic Karkur wizardry, right sleeve tat not showing. Its been two downtimes now and living in a wormhole rather limits one's ability to go pouting into mirrors on a daily basis.

I made 2 versions and it showed up after, but an hour later when the servers updated the avatars for the forums / in game it was gone.

I've had to put my jacket back on and its almost august! I cant keep fooling people that this aura is my personal invulnerability field... its more likely its BO since the air conditioner in my CQ broke.

For the sake of my neighbours... let my flesh be adorned with my tattoo!

I've been having this trouble too. Every time i log back in its gone again. Can see it disappear if I watch portrait closely when getting into char login.

Quick question, will re-customization of the char break the tattoo again?

Oh sorry didn't realize I needed to wait till after it disappeared. I had just recently updated myself again to make them show briefly. I'll repost when it happens again to be rendered.

Yeah just took it some time, as you can see my tattoos have vanished but I am still wearing them. Could I please have that rendering now I'd appreciate it, thanks, and thanks for all you do to keep EVE going along. Love you guys!

Yeah, I've been changing it a lot. Sometimes it stays and sometimes it disappears but the last time it happened was really weird because I could see it on my avatar on the login screen but it actually disappeared right in front of me as I was logging in.

Alrighty.... I went ahead and found ALL the characters who were missing their left tattoo and re-rendered them until they had the tattoo.... that was fun but at least now those people have their awesome tattoos

This was quite a bit of work, so I'm not going to do the right side just yet, but if you are missing a tattoo and care enough that you have come to this thread, please post here (or evemail me) and I'll happily fix it for you

Edit: since I was at it anyway I just went ahead and did the same for the right sleeve, so now all characters that have tattoos should have portraits with those tattoos

I think I know how to bypass this error: relog after customization instead of waiting for picture to update. If I do not relog / logout then re-customized portrait does not show tattoos after update.

edit: full sequence:

1) re-customize;
2) logout;
3) wait for image to update (can check it on forum avatar) <= I think this is optional step but nonetheless...
4) login back to game and wait for in-game cache to renew.

I'm getting this error as well.
I put my tattoo on last night, and it worked for a bit, but now the only way I can get it to display is by clicking the portarait and then clicking the full-body option.

So is this a "you are fixed until your next re customization" or "you are fixed for good now" kind of thing? I can't imagine this is something you enjoy very much, reloading portraits at every players whim.

It's not mentioned in the patch notes though? Why is that?
