Is it possible to run EVE standard with Anti-Aliasing on, or do I have to change the settings in my graphics card control panel? In that case the AA will work on all games/programs, something I don't want, because then even the most gfx heavy games will run with AA.
If you can't change the settings in EVE itself I won't have a choice. So please help me out :)
Thanks

depending on graphics card you run, you can just setup a user profile for running the game..
know it's possible with nvidia, but not sure with Ati
and Nope - you can't change the settings ingame which is a pain ______________________________________

if your using an ATI card, download the catalyst control center. In there you can overide application settings and make eve use anti-alising. Only reason they aint using it in the first place is that the engine is old, messed up, poorly coded and cant handle it due to the aforementioned facts.
Trinity (eves graphics engine) is long overdue for a re-write.

But multi-sampling which to me seems to acheive the same effect (who knows, might be a different name for the same thing) is in the engine.. so evidently it can handle it, the option isn't there as default though. (A ploy i suspect is to dupe people into thinking they can run the game on "top graphics settings" therefore making both the game look like it runs better on older computers, and making people feel better about that old geforce 4 mx 440 they're using to play with their alt account)
I'm interested to know how you know the engine is poorly coded. It might not be optimised for the latest graphics cards, but that doesn't mean there's actually anything fundamentally wrong with the code.

I downloaded that ATI Catalyst center thingy, installed it and whenever I tried to load it it froze any refreshing aplications on my pc (aka, windows media player, games, even MSN). I uninstalled it and cut my finger on the sharp edges of my punisher
