The fighting that will commence in the next few weeks up north and in the west just might be the final chapter in the history of BOB.
The main reason why G/Iron have pulled out of AZN and the south is because BOB are defiantly peeing all over thier home up north.
In what many would describe as a successful campaign, G/Iron forces have swept through the south east leaving destruction in thier wake and very quickly overcoming southern forces with sheer might, organised logistics and cunning tactics.
During G/Iron/Rzr's campaign down south, BOB took the opportunity to go north and antagonize the unguarded regions of Fade and Deklein - G/Irons home. With only small defensive forces resident, G/Iron could do nothing but watch as BOB ran amok unchallenged.
G/Iron's sudden and untimely withdrawal from the south seems to have been on a spur of anger. They appear to have had everything in thier favour in south and everything going according to plan. However, news reports kept coming in of more and more attacks up north, one in particular where a Dreadnought was found in a complex by BOB forces and destroyed before help could even arrive. Then the capturing of Irons 40 billion isk refining outpost seemingly the icing on the cake. Finally, the slap in the face as BOB attempts to sell Irons outpost for 15 bil to the general public. This was most likely the final straw that made them snap.
Thier massive war machine has grinded to a halt in the south and reports indicate their fleets are re-organising and angrilly moving back north after being on the verge of victory down south.
Has BOB finally pushed the wrong button? Judging by G/Irons successful operations down south one can only imagine that they have the potential to do the same in the west of EVE. If G/Iron decided to 'liberate' Fountain or Delve there is very little BOB could do. Why? Just look down south...
...First they smashed through SA lines, annihilating SA fleets on thier arrival. Next they secured a supply line through hostile 0.0 space for thier frieghters(!) all the while killing off any remaining SA forces. Next they captured Oberons outpost - no easy feat so deep south with an opposing force still about. A succesful ploy allowed them to force Oberon to leave SA if they wanted thier outpost back, all the while G/Iron retained thier docking rights.
Then on to ASCN, you have all seen the massive blob down there every night for the last week or two. ASCN were pushed back so deep and on the defensive that they could not mount any form of attack. Night after night they took huge loses and safespotted at their remaining pos's wondering when thier next reinforcements would arrive. SA sent MASS battleships and frigs as reinforcements but they were mostly brushed aside by G/Irons rearguard.
Finally ASCN lost soveriety of AZN system, the facts dont lie, it was only a matter of time before G/Iron could claim total conquest of the south east.....but wait..theres that small problem of BOB up north causing ever more embarassing losses in G/Iron home territory.
BOB has done enough to get G/Irons attention and it seems they are about to experience a force even SA/ASCN combined couldn't match.
G/Iron appear extremly aggrevaited and when the fleets finally meet, its not going to be a pretty sight. With the addition of Titans, Motherships and Carriers in RMR the future of certain entities may be decided in the coming months.
Will this spell the end of BOB and thier brash arrogant press releases? Will Bob run as soon as G/Iron arrives home? Will Fountain be liberated by G/Iron forces? Will Imperium take this opportunity to reclaim thier space and get revenge on BoB in delve?
..or will Bob prove once again why they are EVE's most feared entity.
Time will tell.

All Bob have to do is pullout of the North.
And wait for G/IRON to come attack them in BOB space.
Something that G/IRON avoid.

Edited by: quellious on 15/12/2005 15:43:57 Hi all,
Just a small misunderstood:
"Will Fountain be liberated by G/Iron forces?"
Fountain is already liberated from BoB and Xelas.
BoB are not anymore in Fountain, and Xelas stay docked from several weeks already. Some Xelas POS were put in reinforced mode.
However, these are facts. If you have doubt about them, come have a look. If you dont agree and want to say it, fell free, but dont expect an answer. People that want to know will have to come and check.
Lastly, there is a problem with facts : you cannot change them.
Edit : typo : There -> These

Dude. What we want is nice, funny, smack-free fleet-battles of epic proportions, that our clones survive from to tell our grandchildren's clones about. To feel like almost every second from login to logout is one we enjoy. Being it a tactical fleet movement, a Leeroy charge, a slugfest, a sneaky gank and whatnot. You know, there's a term called FUN, and we'd like to evade fom the daily ruckus of RL into it. As for the future, the one thing I'm 100% sure of is that there's no "final chapter in the history of BOB". The rest is just petty details

I must take the time to apologise to BoB, I understand your a PvP alliance and thrive on good fights and you probably would have had a great time with G/IRON but unfortunatly after being soundly whipped and booted out of the south they can no longer provide you with an adequate opponent you diserve.
Shame really, would have been fun.

Interesting lame ass alt post with a few twists on the truth.
G/IRON/Razor have failed down south. ASCN have control of thier region after the RMR patch with thier amazing industrial output.
Only last week the IRON leaders were stating that they wanting ASCN space as their new home and seemed quite prepared to cut Deklein free.
As they saw thier failure to hold as much space as they thought they would have going into the RMR patch, we have given them an excuse to get out of there without looking like complete failures even with all the billions of isk they have poured in a failed attempt to take the region.
It was a game of pass the parcel with POS up to the RMR patch and G/IRON/Razor have found themselves standing while the music has stopped.
We have respect for thier solidity but hold absolutely no fear from their return.
Someone quoted that we will turn tail and run from G/IRON/Razor within 1 month of their return to Deklein. All this has done is put even more pressure on thier own forces to kick us out in less than a month.
I wish them good luck and look forward to some good RMR battles and hopefully, a smack-free war.
thanks, dbp

Edited by: Oberon Oblique on 15/12/2005 15:52:42 In spite of the awsome power of the OP in alt/alliance spin. G/Iron has a long way to go to breaking the top 3 in uber forum spin and alt mastery.
Old rank/New Rank 2 / 1 Five 1 / 2 BoB 3 / 3 BE
Five- With all the wars of late they have lost no time in taking the top spot by soaking up the spotling and keeping their forum uberness front and center.
BoB- The true masters have shown even without much going on in the way of wars they have still maintained top billing.
BE- With good ole fashion hard work and bold manuvers they have done the most with their limited headcount.
I dont see G/Iron making this list for a long time. A start would be Budrow making a solid commitment to return to the Drink+post+Drink+post formula.

I think you should get your facts straight. ASCN had more Large Towers than G/Iron so they would have claimed azn back after this patch (If it goes as inteded).
Second, if G / Iron are so powerful why did they ask for a cease fire so they could pull out of the South.
Third, I am not saying G / Iron are weak, they are a very strong alliane together, BUT BoB nor ASCN are weak as you seem to make them in your post. |
