Simple question: why isnt there an armor equivlant of Inv Field ? I know there is the passive-omni hardener but is not good enough. If Raven pilots get to have a pretty nice tank with two Inv Fields, I want to be able to do the same thing :D LOL U IS PWNED |

energized nano are great enough if you train all 4 new armor passive hardening skills to lvl4
there should be passive shield omni armor hardener that gives 25% bonus to all without activation costs (tech2)

You can have an omni hardner when i can fit a dual XL shield booster tank and make it work to an acceptable degree,
joking aside ive wondered why too.

Shield tanking are designed to be very powerfull for a short burst while armor tanks are a bit less powerfull but can run for longer.
Passive armor omni hardener with slightly less resists and active shield omni hardener with slightly more resists fit into the above nicely.

It's probably because there's no form of offensive low slot EW.
Personally, I'd think field effects, like ECM burst, could be low slot items with little impact. Right now, besides tracking and heatsinks, lows are largely defensive.
It always kinda surprised me that afterburners weren't low slot items.

Yeah, I think thats the reason. Shielding is supposed to be VERY power intensive, while armor isn't. ---

Yeah but as a frigate pilot, it'd be nice to be able to have a shield version of the adaptive nano.
Kind of hard to run an invuln field on an assault frig. While an energised adaptive nano works just great on armor tanking frigs.
