I'm trying to be patient about it but the game caused catastrophic crashes for me 3 times last night, runs slower, looks worse... it seemed well nigh perfect when I joined not long ago, and this is pretty jarring.

I don't see how the fonts were 'broken' before, they didn't need fixing. And the asterisk inserted into emotes is, quite frankly, retarded. I don't see why that was necessary right in the middle of the emote like that. In general I was really pleased with the look of things pre-RMR, especially the relaxed and graceful fonts you looked at for a while, like warp drive and stargate activation. The whole thing looked like an eye-candy screenshot, it was great.

But I'd take all the ugly formatting in the world if I weren't left staring at it while my ship hung endlessly in star-jump or I waited for the bazillion bait containers at each stargate to finally spawn themselves.

My suggestions:

1) Please allow players the option to turn off sound effects. Something the new expansion is doing with my sound card on certain explosions is causing my entire system to reboot. I would rather play in total silence than deal with the "reboot cannon". I set the Master Volume to 0 and it still did not solve the problem.

2) Please allow players the option to turn off selected icons the way they can turn off items in the overview. Hanging those little icons in 3D around my ship seems unnecessary when I cannot interact with them and have no interest in their presence. I really don't need to see the bazillion secure containers in the belts when I'm rat-hunting, and since RMR what had been a slightly unpleasant hangup entering these systems has turned into a NASTY lag that lets any hostiles get the jump on me long before things start appearing on my screen.

I understand the pride in not sharding the servers but it seems the popularity of EvE is outpacing the ability of CCP to provide good service to the people connecting. You say in one post from the EvE staff to have patience as 15K other players log on, but pre-RMR there were 18-19K people on a night for several nights, if 15K is a problem then it's not going to go away except by losing customers.

Not meaning to whine here but I'm frustrated, I haven't been on long enough to have an attachment that overwhelms that frustration, and the fact that this is termed 'success' doesn't bode well for the future. Please reassure us that this is NOT what you consider to be a success, or let us know when you expect us to be able to see that success for ourselves.
