I just tried this new patch and I hate it.
Here is a list of just a few of the things that..well...suck.
1. The font is illegible and placed against a dark background to make it even more so.
2. My drone bay was cut in half.
3. My weapons do only half the damage they once did and miss more than half the time.
4. The lag is horendous and the game plays at less than half the frame rate it used to making battles impossible.
5. My cargo hold was reduced by 1/4
6. The research and manufacturing interface is way too hard to use and very difficult to understand.
7. Yes they did add some new ships, but you can't buy any of them. None are available on the market.
These are just a few of the things I don't like about the patch. I liked the game before and that is why I bought a subsciption. Not to struggle trying to see what i'm doing on my screen with a ship that has been made so weak I don't even want to fly it anymore.
When will people learn that if it's not broke don't fix it?
I'm canceling my account untill they bring back the game I paid for.

The font can be altered and tweaked for easier reading via text size as well as font width in the Generic settings area AND they have already said that they are paying attention to opinions on the font. It's hardly a game breaker despite the pervasive whining on this point.

Your drones are also considerably more effective than before in damage and capabilities. You also have more skills needed now to be a drone specialist and those skills offer noteworthy advantages AND the drone changes are designed around improving utiliy for players AND game performance. I've not noticed this change though i've heard of it from others. Mine are performing adequately and keep in mind that the defense changes were expected making everyone more durable, us included.

EVERYONE jsut logged into the game in the last hour while the system was just booting up. And there are still bugs in the system (unfortunate, but true). This is common post patch load behaviour from any MMO I have ever played and is hardly a roll back worthy point.

That is likely ship dependent. Many ships i have in my hangar have gained or lost various specifics. On the whole, i've seen improvements to lesser use ships. Check what else improved on your ship in regard to the cargo loss or how it compares to other ships of it's class.

All new interfaces have learning curves. EVE in general is a learning curve. Surely if you can learn the rest of the game you can take a minute to try and learn a new interface for more than the 60 seconds you tackled it before complaining about it?

It's been this way for all ships that are existent in our player generated market production system as I understand it. This complaint is a non-problem that will be remedied over time by design, not as a flaw in the patch.

Have a little patience Lucifer. It's patch day. I signed up around the time they released Exodus. Things were crazy in Eve and on the forums for a few days and then it all went back to normal. This patch really is quite awesome and I'm sure when all the post-patch fuss dies down most of us will be patting CCP on the back for yet another awesome update.

Well you can make a fool of him but the patch indeed sucks so far.
What kind of ***** is this to cut dronebay in half. Its absurd.There goes all the training time.
And yes it would be lot smarter to get ships on the market.
So far for now patch sucks but game still rocks.

You do not consider the font to be a game breaker, but you do not represent anyone but yourself.
When "whining" turns to walking out the door and CCP starts losing accounts over it, I am sure CCP will take the matter as seriously as the players you so glibly dismiss.

The drone issues were well explained in advance. I have no problem with those changes.
I am however very angry about the radical unnanounced changes to manufactoring. I was reading the patch notes the day before the patch went live and these changes were not mentioned. The changes are insanely stupid.
Now in order to use corp BPOs in a factory I apparently need to assign Hangar Query. Hangar Take, Factory Manager, and Rent Factory. This is unnacceptable. Apparantly I am required to give them the ability to spend corp money for any job they start, and naturally they can cancel this job and waste corp money hand over fist. This is completely unnacceptable.
Next is the question of limited slots and ques. Before the patch we had all the factories and labs we needed rented. We had a number of factories which we ran 24/7 and a few spare for other jobs. Now our factory costs have flat out tripled, (or more) and we're waiting in a que to use the same factories and labs we were using before.
Fix it. Soon....

Funny, These were announced on September 27th. Very well in advance... even earlier than the drone changes. 2 1/2 months ago.
I'll kind of agree about the roles you need to assign and why you have an issue with that. I'm not a CEO or director, but I can still understand. But limited slots? Okay, 6 less "slots" per station (50 instead of 56) for production. Doesn't really seem like a big deal there because of the number of slots that were rented in the past but hardly ever used. Now I would think that more slots would be available than ever before.
Costs have tripled? Depends on what you're making. Meh, valid argument.
Personally, no beef here. I like being able to remotely control my factory jobs.

i logged in and the first thing i noticed was i has lost 3 of my 6 heavy drones,
i dont really care about the new stuff,i want my drones back.
might as well have no drones at all,this ruined the game right from the start,
why its like a carebear politician messing about,goddam dogooder,i trained up for 6 heavy drones and i want my drones back.its crap,i am really not happy,not happy at all.
and before you all ask for my stuff and flame,i spent good time,over weeks training up
so i can carry 6 heavies into missions with me,paid good isk,now i got three,its pathetic,it really is.....grrrrrrrrrrr
no the more i think about it,and the time and effort it took to get a raven i am afraid i too am depressed and thinking of cancelling,right at this moment anyway

ive noticed that all the stuff you listed consisted of the word "my" or "i". therefore you expect CCP to please just you, the individual. every MMO has its nerfs, and you have to learn to adapt. its quite obvious they made these changes through heavy consideration. get your perspective straight and quit thinking about yourself, and instead, try to think in a more collective manner. thank you goodbye.

I was capable of controlling 9 drones before the patch, with the 5 that I can now control I am seeing heavier damage to the RATS then before the patch (with 9 drones) on top of the added benfit of less lag when the drones are out. They also return Quickly and when I tell them too, instead of having coffee and Bagels on their way back.
This patch did wonders for drone damage and drone control (and that was before I started training the new drone skills)
Love It.

Instead I'm really happy with the heavy missile boost!!
Ugly font? Altho I don't like it, but it's NOT A BIG DEAL and DOESN'T AFFECT YOUR GAMEPLAY.
I wasn't surprised with the dronebay nerf and other changes, because I DO ALOT OF READING OF THE RMR NOTICE before they update it. And it has been running for several weeks. Sheeesh... don't people notice that???
The only thing surprise me is some "new" mission to me

I havent noticed much with damage I take, but I havent had the chance to play much, had to go to work. I did notice that my heavys actually do damage to NPC frigs now, instead of just bouncing off the hull.

I think people just need to take a deep breath. this is the first day of a whole new chapter in Eve. It will take time to get used to new drones, time for ships to be built and time for the bugs to be identified and stamped out. Rather than cancel, take a couple of days out, think about the changes and how you can use them to your advantage.
One thing is for sure, we ain't going back.
