Lots of people will have 1 rank 8 trained to lvl5, but where's the people with a rank 9 or higher trained to 5 ??

Miranda Duvall	Posted - 2006.01.11 15:44:00 - [128] I still have 3x cruiser, 3x BS, 3x Large turret, some missile skills, all gun/missile specialisations etc to train before i get stuck with the 100M+ skills I already got some of the expensive skills, if you call up to 40M expensive. (transport ships, research proj. man., adv. lab. ops., all drone specialisations, cynosural field theroy etc) I could already train capital ship construction, but thats too expensive for now. Friday i'll have all electronics skills, for industry im only missing adv. mass prod, i have all science skills that have R&D agents, for engineering im missing only the capital skills, same for mechanic (plus outpost construction) A quick look in the ECM queue gives me 8 new skills in januari, and 20-30 overall "affordable" skills yet to be trained. How many skills needed to get into the top 5?

polvo zangado	Posted - 2006.01.11 19:40:00 - [130] Well I'd say judging that the last place in the top 5 is 239, and by time you are to that number it will likely be around 245 it is still doable. Probably not without purchasing some rare or expensive skills, but it is doable. The Capital skills are probably going to be some of the harder ones to get because of the time involved training for them, where as ones like cosmos don't take as long to train for but they cost a bit more.

I still hope to do something usefull with this char, like say T2 production (give me a few days and i can build any T2 component/ship out there.. oh and also: give me a BPO :) I'll settle for a place in the top 10 then, that should be doable... Whats the number of skills i need for a top 10 position? PS: I have 201 skills on only 13M skillpoints, is there a prize for that?

This does not include skills like "Outpost Construction" (90M) or Capital Ship Construction (67M), or the connections skills or anything like that.. If I could throw that kind of money into it, things would go faster, but as it stands: I have no T2 BPO, so my production skills go to waste ... Anyone need help from a widely skilled production char? (I can produce any given T2 item within a week of skilling for that BPO, also any T2 components, or, if you provide the skillbook: capital ship components)

PS for those that had "Mining Foreman" break ECM: Exit/Close ECM Go into "Skills.xml" Find the line that says: "<skillCategoryName>Leadership</skillCategoryName>" Right after that line insert: <skill> <skillName>Mining Foreman</skillName> <typeID>22536</typeID> <description>Basic proficiency at coordinating mining operations. Grants a 2% bonus to gang members' mining yield per level. Only the bonus of the gang member with the highest level in this skill is used. </description> <primaryAttribute>charisma</primaryAttribute> <secondaryAttribute>willpower</secondaryAttribute> <rank>2</rank> <requiredSkills> <requiredSkill1>Leadership</requiredSkill1> <requiredSkill1Level>1</requiredSkill1Level> </requiredSkills> <bonus> <miningAmountBonus>2</miningAmountBonus> </bonus> </skill> <skill> Start ECM again The ECM ppl will flame me for posting this, because hacking the xml is not supported, and they are working on a properly tested new version of the skills.xml, which will include this skill, and presumably several more, maybe even the new "ScaryRace Technology" skills (although i dont know how they'll manage to get the ID of a skill that isn't in the itemdatabase) This trick HAS NOT been properly tested, I use it and it works fine for me, I cant guarantee anything for you!
