Note how & and 8 looks near identical.
Note how ? and 7 looks near identical.
This aint working in a game, in a game you need clear and fast recognition of common symbols, its just unacceptable to be honest.
Just imagine the conversations..
"Where shall we meet?" "Well lets meet in FH-A7?" "What? FH-A or FH-A7?"

you cant see decimal points either..i thought i was doing 2423 dmg but saddly was 242.3

There is a pretty long thread on fonts already.
As it has not been locked it is probably the 'official' feedback thread.
Creating a new one just cluters the forums, and detracts from the debate.
I know it seems 'cool' to be a thread started, but it isn't.
(okay, I confess, I am trying to catch up on the forums at work and you are just making it hard for me to keep up) :P

is it not possible too change the font file that eve uses?
imo Its not too bad on my 19" LCD, just need to get used too it.

Isn't it more like getting used to? IMHO I like the new font, it gives it a more futuristic look. Otherwise we might all be switching to comic sans serif, now won't we????
And we wouldn't want that now..........
Besides if you put a B or an 8 next to eachother in the old font style, it wasn't different from eachother either.

why do they get this neurotical urge to replace the font everytime, THE OLD FONT WAS FINE, AND GOOD FOR THE EYES !!!!

Turn your resolution down or get glasses.
I love the new font, even at 1600x1200.

tbh it looks ok on my screen. using a 17in TFT
just wondering have you tryed changing the ingame refresh rate because this can cause fonts to look realy poor

have to say i personaly like it, however i can understand why people dislike it, i hated the older one!!, but i just made the text very big and it was readable, but hell one alliance later and i don't need anything but local up...

I wear contacts, and I'm not lowering my res. so I can read. the old font was fine.

Look, because the client changed to using a uni code format for it's text engine. It means that the old font file no longer WORKS with eve.
You follow?
Thus it's not a simple thing to change the font back, it requires making another new font.

I think you should have some respect for other peoples oppinion. Half the posts made since RMR is about this font. So obviously, some people find it "wrong" !

Me, I hate the font with a passion bordering on insanity. IŠve had my eyes tested less than a month ago, IŠve got new glasses and it still sucks badly. But hey CCP like it. Must be those Norse genes at work.
