Moving up from a vexor to a myrmidon have all races T2 drones. Looking for a good all around PVE fit. Like doing both missions and anomalies. Also use hybrid turrets. |

Heavies...PvE?
Seriously?
No no no no. You use sentries and you passive tank it.
Mind you, a NVexor is better anyway these days. |

Thank you Capt Mooney. What do you say a Navy Vexor is better Morrigan? |

Five sentries instead of four, better mobility, drone speed bonus when lights are needed. lvl2s and 3s don't really require much tank, as gank is your tank. Assuming you have the correct support skills |

Do you have EFT or PYFA? Craft up your own fit and let us guide/critique/troll you from there it is better learning that way and we can get a better idea, of your skills/style. |

i personally prefer heavies for missions, since the acceleration-gate takes you right into the middle of a bunch npcs, where sentries dont really work all that well... |

Not sure if trolling, have you done missions since they changed the drone mechanics? Heavies are not useless but pretty close to it especially for the levels the a BC or cruiser would be efficient.

actually im goofing around with heavies atm, i agree that they are only useful if the enemy is at point blank range(so you can scoop them in quickly). but see the above comment, you use them if things are right next to you. other than that you got room for a flight(well 4) sentries too after all ;) (and tbh heavies deal with web/scram frigs way faster than scouts in 90% the cases.) |

well the myrm is pretty versatile but you have to fit it for purpose, there is no one fit fits all kind of thing.

Medium Drone Scope Chip I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I

thats what I was running level 4s with. Pretty nice for DED sites too but its far from low sp friendly |

Fair enough, I haven't taken the time to train tech II heavies so I can't really argue that point, but I would prefer tech II lights to heavies in most cases. The myrm's drone bay is not big enough to carry two sets of four sentries/heavies and a set of lights so I would opt for the lights. But you have a point about the close range engagement. |

atm i enjoy the rattlesnake alot (pretty well tanked torpedo fit. carries all kindsa drones, including heavies and sentries, but i rarely use the latter ones). if you actually fight stuff at pb range(blaster fit comes to mind?) the heavies just shred things, no way to put this any more gently. starting off 100+km away from the enemie can be annoying tho. :p

Here is a Myrm for PvE, which is fairly simple to fly. The reactive armor hardener together with EANM II and nano pump rig provides enough tank without changing fittings. It even has got some salvage drones if you fancy (or get some spare hobgoblins instead). There is plenty of PG left and you should not have a fitting problem. If you have CPU problems when fitting then get the slight cheaper T1 Omni. Tracking Links. All it then needs is ammo.

Know that there is a particular 10-part storyline mission with many of battleships in the 10th part. If you are having a problem with those then use Ogres and kite (do not sit there with sentries and get smashed up by several battleships). Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

use a gila, carry both sentries and heavies, passive shield tank it. Put an AB so you can speed tank as well, put a rocket launcher or something to keep the aggro on you as much as possible. Myrm for PVE is not the best choice |

Did the job ok for random low sec anoms and abusing level 2/3s pretty good iirc. Hardeners to taste along with drones. Never tried it in L4s, there's better stuff for that. If its something I used more often I'd probably trade the guns/do something because they're basically worthless. It could be improved, it's a hodgepodge fit from before the thing could use sentries but its a starter and did well enough just using mediums in low sec anoms so I was quite happy with the performance. Optimal? Hell no. Was fun though. |
