Well, when I'm in Verge Vendor, like Masalle, for instance, it lags a lot. But when I'm in the area around Aporulie in Essence it is just fine. Now I'm in Sivala, and it is fine there too, for me. So it seems there's some localized problems here and there. I've never had lag in Masalle before the patch though.

I am in Sobaseki...loaded the game/login 3 minutes to login......was in station and opened wallet....5 minutes to display info......undocked.....priceless (15 minutes and still counting.....
Is this uberlag just in heavy populated systems or is it throughout the universe?

how bout you quit all your b*tching and moaning and be glad that the patch actually came out relatively close to its initial deadline. I mean its just been launched and login in being flooded. give it time...

I'm in Sobaseki too, and it's pretty bad..
About 5 minutes to dock. Doing anything on the market is painfully slow. Even moving stuff from cargo bay to locker takes about 10 seconds per item.

I don't think anyone here is b*tching..
If we don't tell the devs what problems we're having, they won't know there's a problem to fix. The comments here seem pretty calm to me!

Sigh, nomatter how long CCP keeps the game down there will be some problems with it when it comes back upp, its to be expected.
Moreover many of the problems that have to be fixed after a patch wont show upp untill all the players get back in and do the shady things we always do.
Thus in short, rather than asking for CCP to shut the game down untill it works why not log out and go see a movie, take your girlfriend to a restaurant, do some cleaning or somthing.
The game will be shaky for a few days but will be better for it in the long run.

The Devs and GM teams are aware of the lag and stuck issues and are working on resolution. In-game travel warnings have been sent out to avoid certain core systems.
If you are stuck, please file a petition. The stuck queue load is heavy at the moment, but the GMs are working hard on clearing it out ASAP.

Ive got all those issues too. I wouldnt say extreme lag though.. Still pretty annoying since I cant log in, I just get the black screen after I go to enter as my character. Also in an ironic twist it was the stuck when jumping bug that made me reset.
Also stuck when jumping = I cant talk in the chat either. 
Zachios Primos, sorry if it seems like we a bit*hing. But you know.. We have a good reason. We can't play the game..

funny i didn't knwo that "hutdown, fix and then bring it up when ready ....." is a constructive post. and there is a thread specifically for errors, try posting there

is there any way you can show that warning to chars as they log in? i logged in undocked in ourserlert tried jumping to renyn and got stuck because i didnt see any warning.

does anyone know if there are specific systems "such as sobaseki" that are lagged bad and is it all empire....
If it is sobaseki I will try to leave system to go to an adjacent system. But don't want to waste 30-60 minutes to get there through the lag to find out it is the same most everywhere.

The heavy Lag seems to be localized. It was pretty laggy when I travel in Sobaseki, but not in other system...
I'm only ****ed about the aggro timer bug when attacking npc asteroid rat, and addressbook problem.
So far the others are fine with me tho...

I did a 20-ish jump journey to Sobaseki. None of the other systems on my trip were *as bad* as Sobaseki (even Jita, which was reasonable), but the jump 'froze' a few times. I needed to log out once, and wait about 5 minutes another time. It doesn't seem to be solely related to population - some empty systems are laggy as well. I guess those systems might be on the same servers as busy systems, but we can't tell that when we're playing..

You realise your black screen is 99% caused by the fact that people copy their settings folder over to RMR, whe nit was from CW... Delete your pc.dat file, and your black screen problem should stop.

oursulaert/renyn aren't really laggy at all, the problem is that you get stuck when jumping and have to relog to fix it.

Thousands of people downloading the patch through the client can't help the lag.
Hopefully things should sort themsleves out before too long.
