Keep in mind please that 80 k users are in the proces off or just completed upgrading the client.
And those who are ingame are most probaly all over the UI to find out whats changed. Market searching, redoing lab and factory jobs etc.
Lag of this alone will keep up for a while. Should be better already after the next dt.
Post patch days are always like this. give the Devs some slack so they can focus on some serious issues and get some rest.

I took the time to jump from sobaseki to Jita...jita is more populated...got stuck when warped in....relogged....working great now....no lag....

hehe like all new patches things takes time.. Here is a todo list:
Dont shoot NPC gate rats in emp concord will kill you
You can actually buy GM mods on the market in emp( I wont tell where). But i heard they were uber
You drone bay disapper from overwiev
About every 5 jump you get stuck at the gate and cant login
Some sentry guns near stn in low space wont open up fire if you agress some1<--- my fevorite:)
massive lag props in some regions/sys

I think that is a pretty short list. Summary: Game is partly playable, you can even switch skills. More than i expected for the fisrt postpatch days.

I totaly agree with some of u.... this game is not playable anymore....
.. thank god I just have 14 day free time, I should never pay for this kind of ****y lag party..... the old version was so fun to play, what have they done to this great game.....
c u in next version or when the problem is solved....

Don't let the first few days of a new patch turn you off. It will get back to pace. It always does.
Frustrating as it is waiting.

Im screwed also trying to get outa the forge region with 2 charactors one cant do jack in a station and it took 20 minutes just to dock there for a new skill thats in kisogo i wouldent go there if i was u.
Also jumping time seems to be around 7 to 15 minutes if you dont get connection closed in that time,
Kerion shut the game down and fix what needs to be done i myself and otheres on teamspeak would rather have a working game then this lag infeasted systems like we have atm

You know what I have not been able to play for 5 days now, the first 2 days the server went **** up I thought ok just bad luck it happened when I had came home from work. The third day the server went down for the expansion upgrade at 20:00 hrs, np I thought thats cool still managed to set skills etc. The forth day I came home from work tryed to log on at 20:00 and no joy server down till 0:00, I waited like many others and the server never came up.
Thought ok may aswell goto bed and hope its up tommrow, logged on at 06:45 AM (time I get up) patched and setup some buy orders etc on my trader, then went to work =/. Came home today expecting a great night in eve and well its not cos I can't ******* logg in  and I have been trying for 1 hour now, gaveup getting drunk instead. I hope its sorted for the only time I get off.
Oh and your a ******* troll imo kthxbye

What happens when 10,000 users who didn't attempt to log in yesterday after the patch was complete all download the client and immediately log in over the span of a few hours, then have to download all the updated cache information on the market.....

heres a tip , CLEAR your CACHE!!!!!
make sure you save your bookmark folder so you dont delete the bookmark folders in game.
This will shorten the log in screen time and speed your on your way, trust me it helps.

at least u can play the dam thing, so far i have patched, delted 300 meg of now usless data, dled 320 meg, ran the installer, corrupted, delted, redownloading installer.
An I staed up till 1230, last night to try and play eve, and i have yet to get past the log on screen. Stop your *****ing at least u can get on the server, no scratch that log in!

Personally I have got used to it.... I logged in to find I cant do anything, same as any other patch week... I needed to stop playing eve for a few weeks over Xmas anayway... Long skills trinaing, coming back in the new year when the 2 or 3 client and server patches are installed ... Its just the way it is on patch weeks.

We have spent the entire day testing, no pvp (much, sorry Saffira) and been disconnected many times, just go play with
a)Battlefield 2 Special Forces - Damn Good game
b)Yourself - We dont wanna know
c)Your other half (Odds are we dont wanna know)
d)That AK47 you got off your uncle - who served in Iraq - and a rooftop 
(note - PLS do NOT go play on a roof with an AK47)
Next non alt who whines gets an angry wanna be merc with a grudge on their ass 
Carlsberg dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them.
