Seems CCP staff are telling little white lies on the news page.
"Red Moon Rising has been successfully released onto Tranquility. The update took approximitly 26 hour to complete which was only 2 hours more than planned. We are of course keeping a very close eye on the update and will work hard to eliminate all issues as fast as possible."
The servers went offline at 20:00 on 14/12 and came back online at around 02:30 on 16/12. I make that about 30.5 hours, which is 6.5 hours more than planned.

Something tells me that you losers wouldn't care if CCP had said they finished on time.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices CCP fibbing.

Actually, you are mistaken. It took an extra 4 hours for the servers to accept users to play but the servers were up and running 2 hours after the scheduled 24 hours. The extra 2 hours were used to do a dry run and ensure stability before opening it up to players. Either way, it's 2 hours of your life. If you have the time to be making posts like this, you really should consider doing something else besides gaming.

30 horus is gerat for installing something of this magnitude, i give ccp cred for getting better over the last 3 patches, cold war was a little bit of a pain as the market would not work and a whole bunch of other crap, and exodus.... well, lets pretend that never happened.

at the risk of sounding like a nerd or reject. CCP was true. they released it onto tranquility. 26 hoursish. then a few hours later opened to the public. :) technicality here wins over uhm..not looking clearly?

Y'know, I think they posted that while they were still crimped for sleep, stressed and whatnot. Once Oveur and company come out of their slumber, they'll probably go "OMGWTFBBQ!" and fix it. ;)

omg guys...this is ridiculous. as for news they played with it quite a few last night with the various bugs/etc. it only mattered to those waiting last night, so what's the difference with it being off to you people that are just logging on?
