But honestly, I'd rather experience som unscheduled downtimes than playing a game which is suffering from lag as is at the moment.

*** WARNING RANT FOLLOWING ***
 OMFG NOT AGAIN .... i have tried 2x to do a 5 tier lvl 3 mission ... takes an age .... everytime i get near the end ccp keep resetting ... and i have to start all over again ... my bonus time has long since past

ROFL....we was almost done with the 4th tier of level 3 extravaganza when 5 min warning came up....I feel ya....is all the ships going to be respawned?

Although the lag is bad (and I've pretty much given up playing this weekend) no one with any experience of patch day on any MMORPG would attempt the equivalent of a lvl 3 5 tier mission. You are just asking to lose your ship.
The first week after patch day should be a time for buying new skills, testing new equipment. Do not attempt anything which needs a reliable, responsive server.
