EVERY SINGLE MMO out there has issues on any new expansion release. even on ANY NEW PATCH they always have problems. you can't possible play test the new patch/expansion with 15k-20k people on a test server because MOST people will not want to waste thier time to go try it out. The bloody expansion is free, Everquest expansions are $30 each, same monthly fee. WoW expansion same thing. AND THEY STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. if it truly bothers you that much. LEAVE don't say anything here JUST LEAVE THE GAME. CCP does feel bad about the problems, but there is nothing they can do about it other than try and compensate as best they can until all the issues are dealt with. flame away.

On topic, eve is what, about 33p average a day, so all we've lost over the last 4 days is what ú1.32, better then paying out ú30, and the only problems I've been having since deployment is the downtime, and that doesn't bother me at all since CCP is actually doing somthing unlike other MMO devs who just sit it out for the night and start trying to fix it the next day. I used to work for Woolworths and whenever the daily mail newspaper used to give out free DVDs via us we have peopel complaining cos they aint getting a 50p fricking DVD i mean they have 1 episode of sum long dead comedy and they would come in for upto a week wanting to know how to get it so lets face it, if peeps will moan bout things like that then summat like a patch being a bit glitchy will be liek NYE for em

We can now expect the issues to extend to mid-January, at best. Open your eyes. We're nearly in 2006. There is no excuse for a patch this bad. People had some lag, but I think that can happen after so many changes. Then the font issue. Ok, they will fix it. I've been playing 10 hours or so after release without major problems and it was fun. And a lot of people in my corp did. Some had lag, yes. But I guess the game worked not that bad that people can say that everything is f***ed up and CCP made crap and we need a roleback to Cold War etc. Let them do their work ! ___________ 'Only ships can be assembled, this is a Frigate.'

Cold war when rather smooth to red moon rising and exodus, which both come out just before chrismas. Look on the market, there are items called "Meta Module A", "Meta Module B" and so on (Drone Updates). Bloodraces are gone, and the manufacuring window still has a "under construction" in it's title bar. Not to mention the problems with Titans and Carrier which will rise in about 14 days. Quite unsure if ranting about devs is nice. I don't think the decided to release it, but the marketing guy behind them. Sharkbait was always on Sisi when I tested stuff, so they actually test something - but they need time to fix nasty bugs, which always sucks.

As a paying customer I'd like to see these content patches rather not in a time, when devs are going to celebrate chrismas. But I think I have to accept that they try to get new customers in the pre-chrismas buisiness. But they knew the problem themselves. CCP said that they would either release RMR in this week or in January. So they considered the possibility of post-patch problems and decided to bring it out, because there are still some days to fix them in case of problems and that the time will be enough to fix the most urgent issues before chrismas. So a few days left for CCP to bring the server into a stable state until chrismas. I mean, who cares, if some new things are missing on the market etc ? What counts is that the server runs relatively smooth, when the devs are not there to implement hot-fixes and that almost everyone can login and play. Well, I can't play, because of Chrismas. I do not defend any ill-mannered posting, no. Actually there is no need to have all 15k-20k players online to play/test. A lot of GUI testing can in fact be automated. Macro miners seem to be able to do it so I assume CCP should be able to do this in a similar way. Performance or load testing is possible - for a simple transaction watch the I/O's, CPU usage (audited records are provided for charging), SQL has performance reports, memory usage and of cause latency. Yes 15k to 20k users online is something different - but if a given transaction produces less I/O, less CPU usage and uses less memory then this is a good starting point. The same macro miner route can and is used in business to perform load testing. The only possible problem is contention. Contention is caused by information being locked by one user and required by another user(s). This is very difficult to spot/solve sometimes - but SQL usually tells u when there is contention problems, you can then use commitment control logs to verify what is going on. Most assuredly if I make the choice to leave the game because of the expansion then I will. If I chose to vent my feelings on here it is my choice not yours. And anyways - what do you know about CCP,, IS IT YOUR FAULT ! AHA WE HAVE THE CULPRIT ! STRING HIM UP ! Some people learn from their mistakes and dont make them again - someone who makes mistakes over and over again is either incompetant or doesnt care.
