So stop the bloody whining. EVERY SINGLE MMO out there has issues on any new expansion release. even on ANY NEW PATCH they always have problems. you can't possible play test the new patch/expansion with 15k-20k people on a test server because MOST people will not want to waste thier time to go try it out.
The bloody expansion is free, Everquest expansions are $30 each, same monthly fee. WoW expansion same thing. AND THEY STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS.
if it truly bothers you that much. LEAVE don't say anything here JUST LEAVE THE GAME. CCP does feel bad about the problems, but there is nothing they can do about it other than try and compensate as best they can until all the issues are dealt with.

So. You'd rather pay $30 ontop of $15 a month, just for 4 days of lagless play. $30 bucks for 4 days. As opposed to $15 for 30 days, and a free expansion?...
They'd like you, over at Star Wars Galaxies.

4 Days? That is a vast exaggeration. The game hasn't even been online for 2 full days since the patch.

You've been complaining about everything that doesn't suit your play wizz, now I remember why I blocked you.
On topic, eve is what, about 33p average a day, so all we've lost over the last 4 days is what ú1.32, better then paying out ú30, and the only problems I've been having since deployment is the downtime, and that doesn't bother me at all since CCP is actually doing somthing unlike other MMO devs who just sit it out for the night and start trying to fix it the next day.

Well, technically, with the 32h downtime, it has currently cost us about 77c of service so far, so you can't exactly call it free.

The game has been virtually unplayable due to lag for a number of weeks now. That makes this expansion definitely NOT for free. CCP need to sort their problems and give us our money's worth.

I'm paying for a service and I think I deserve the right to be critical about it. If you don't like what you see on the forum, why are you reading it and paying attention to it?

Hehe, it's so funny to read all the angry posts, many people here are seriously more addicted to eve than a regular junkie to his nark.. Take away Eve for a couple of hours and people get all these abstinences, just like a junkie who doesn't get his fix on time :p

whether its free or not peopel will complain, admittadly i wasnt too thrilled when i found out that i'd have to wait until the morning to try the new release but in the heat of things after waiting 24hrs peopel are gonna get narky bout it.
I used to work for Woolworths and whenever the daily mail newspaper used to give out free DVDs via us we have peopel complaining cos they aint getting a 50p fricking DVD i mean they have 1 episode of sum long dead comedy and they would come in for upto a week wanting to know how to get it so lets face it, if peeps will moan bout things like that then summat like a patch being a bit glitchy will be liek NYE for em

I propose that they make a whine-cry-rant-whatever-section and move all posts that contain nothing than rant and whines there.
People should be helpfuil and post into the rmr issues thread or just join another existing whine thread !
We don't need a stupid rant post from each of the maybe more than a few thousand people who are effected !
It gets on my nerves. If you can't say something constructive and have to rant, use an existing thread or write an email to CCP. These stupid unconstructive whine and rant threads get on my nerves.
Ok, I don't have to read them, right, but I guess there are more people p***ed, because of the idiotic unconstructive attacks that people start towards CCP in new threads, than people who like to read them !

There are issues. This is VERY close to Christmass. The patch was clearly rushed out for the holiday season. We can now expect the issues to extend to mid-January, at best.
Open your eyes. We're nearly in 2006. There is no excuse for a patch this bad. (I'd get kicked out on my backside if *I* did)

Sorry, but 2 threads to rant about that CCP calls it 'free expansion' 1 with the suggestion to out-source the programming work to pakistan, another 2 threads or so where people want a roll-back, another one who's called 'And you call this a sucessful release ?' or so... no at the moment the probably won't call it sucessful, but in the beginning it seemed good.
People had some lag, but I think that can happen after so many changes.
Then the font issue. Ok, they will fix it.
I've been playing 10 hours or so after release without major problems and it was fun.
And a lot of people in my corp did. Some had lag, yes.
But I guess the game worked not that bad that people can say that everything is f***ed up and CCP made crap and we need a roleback to Cold War etc.
Let them do their work !

Here's a thought, how about you allow people to make all the criticisms they want safe in the knowledge that they will stop when the issues have been addressed?
In the meantime, I wonder how long the moderators will allow this blatant troll-fest of a thread to continue growing.
