Edited by: ToKE on 16/08/2003 14:40:11 the complaints are about the unstability issues, the fact that IF you do get stuck in a blackhole system you have to wait for HOURS to be fixed, if you get stuck to a station or an asteroid, which can happen even if you're careful you need to log out of the game to fix it, which is not a good idea in some systems. plus CCP will not replace your ship if you die. but TBH the reason i reckon the most of the complaints are getting so bad is because CCP seam to be concentrating on chaning the game mechanics instead of resolving the basic problems. if when i got stuck in a blackhole system i did not have to wait the best part of a day to be freed i would not be so angry, if i did not get killed relogging because i got stuck to an asteroid which is actually pretty far away and the collision detection wasn't crap. then i wouldn't get so mad.
but no they seam more intrested in limiting the useage of blueprints and stopping you using afterburners in warp rather then fixing problems which are causing more and more unhappy customers.
i spose the other thing that infuriates people so much is that we are paying to play this game, yet they do not seem to be taking any action on the most pressing problems or listening to customer oppinion. players participating in dev chats are hand picked to give good feedback and not kick up a fuss. whcih although there is plenty of very happy customers in this game (I used to be one, but my patience is wearing thin) there is a hell of alot of people who are getting increaingly frustrated with putting so much time and effort in for nothing.
once the most game cripling bugs are fixed then changing the game mechanics won't **** so many people off. I wouldn't care so much if i couldn't use my afterburners in warp, if there was no chance i could get stuck to a station. I wouldn't be quite so annoyed when i got stuck in a system if i got freed quickly. But thats the problem, you dont you have to wait sometime for hours and hours and hours. i have an outstanding stuck petition from 12.08 (eve time) this afternoon its now 14.35 (eve time) and it hasn't even been looked at yet. i had 3 characters stuck for 4 hours last night and i had 2 of them stuck for 3 and a half hours earlier that day. Those are the reasons people are so angry at the way the game is going. The game has a tremendous ammount of potential that is why i still play, hoping they will fix it in the next patch, then hoping that it will come in the next patch and then the next one. But as soon as you make the decision to go retail and ask people to pay for the service, you need to start providing a service to warrant that money. Unfortunately EvE is falling short of that mark and from my point of view it is not making anywhere near enough effort to get there. _______________________________________________ Ahaahhhh you didn't count on my loyal army of Prostitutes did you? |
