Under Cold War I could play for days at a time without any issue, only being logged off at CCP's daily reboots.
Now under RMR, I can play for two to three hours fairly well. Three to five hours however brings my system to its knees with nasty nasty memory issues and my system's required use of the hard drive since I'm out of memory. This is a big nasty memory leak and I'm really not going to trust this game until it is fixed. I'll stay in hi sec systems and mine. Even if it IS a slower rate than before the patch because I have to spend so much time shutting down my poor dead computers and bringing them back up.
Primary computer stats: 1.3 ghz Duron, 256 RAM, 32 meg Geforce 2, 30+gigs free on hard drive or something equally insane.
Secondary laptop stats: Pretty much exactly the same.
They both have the SAME exact issue with the whole computer grinding to a halt after three to five hours of play.
And to make it even better, when I submit a question, the website has an error and crashes rather than accepting the question.
Yeah...that impresses me...not...

I have read through most of this thread and can relate to the problems here. I have had all of them at one time or another, and they recur as well. I would call it memory leak for lack of anything else. I remember on a very old version of windows a memory leak problem, and having to reboot everytime I turned around. This reminds of that very much.
I have the full download, as I got corruppted files when I downloaded the patch. Prior to that, no problems, now, well you know.

Gar, it happens to myself and my brother as well. He's running on an old computer that is still within minimum specs:
Pentium 1.6GHz, 512MB RAM, geForce 4 MX 440
I run an
Athlon XP2400+, 512MB RAM, geForce 6800 GT
My brother just started his trial account with RMR, so it's impossible to say if his performance is worse after RMR. I know for sure that mine is. I experience issues like what is being described above. |

Hopefully the devs actually read these forums (I've yet to see admin/GM/dev responses). I'm experiencing this same memory leak issue. The game becomes unplayable after a few hours as its memory usage exceeds my available physical ram. I have a gig physical, and while the game's performance starts out great, it rapidly falls off until it's completely unplayable.

I'm having the same memory leak issues being reported here since RMR. Client climbs to near 700 megs are a few hours and hard disks start grinding away. I get 1 second freezes quite often too but doesn't seem to be at exact intervals -- usually every 1-2 minutes though.
Orb Vaya: maybe one of the memory sticks is a dud? Try www.memtest.com
My system shouldn't have any trouble with EVE, similar specs to a lot of you and I don't run anything in the background execept zonealarm:
AMD 64 3200+ Asus A8N-SLI premium 1 gig Corsair XMS matched pair Asus geforce 7800gtx 2x200 gig seagate barracudas in raid 1 (250+ gig free space)

I'm having the same problems, after many jumps and what not. Even when leaving the game it will take a few minutes to actually be removed from the Processes Tab under Windows Task Manager. Guess I'll try downloading and reinstalling a new full client to see if it helps clear it up.
