I used a Smart Bomb in Empire Space to see what it looked like - it happened to actually hit further than the displayed range and blew up a drone that someone had abandoned (it was sitting outside my range bubble).
Immediately Concord appeared and blew up my ship, then I was criminally flagged for the standard countdown. After that, I dropped down to yellow "Aggression Countdown" and waited for that to run out. Once it was done, I flew back to the asteroid belt to collect the remains of my ship and was immediately destroyed by Concord as soon as I flew in.
My security status is 0.0. Are they going to continually blow me up every single time they see me? Is there some invisible extra countdown I'm not aware of that I have to wait to run out?
This is stupid to happen.

I know as a fact that they can get "stuck" in their agression mode against you, that happens once in a while. If the issue for you still continues please fill out a petition, the GM¦s will be able to help you.

wait for the timer to run to zero and you'll be able to go back to business. Despite their name, it's not a good idea to use smart bombs in empire  . Concord is your friend unless you are -5.0 sec.

Apparently, it actually lasts for 20 minutes, despite claiming "15 Minutes" on the countdown. Why don't they just set the interface to display 20 minutes of aggression?
I headed out after it had indeed counted down to zero and showed nothing on the interface and was obliterated by Concord.
After waiting an extra ten minutes or so (just to be on the safe side), I was fine.

i thought the agression timer was there so you knew how long your ship takes to disapear after logging.
e.g. 2 minutes if your not agressed, but 15 if you are.

Also any combat (getting shot by Concord, shooting hostiles, etc.) will reset the timer back to 20 mins. If I have aggression, I will just warp to a belt or safe spot and go read a book for the next 20 mins. Usually, works for me.
