well, i havent really read the whole thread, but quite a lot of it. right now i am doing levels 3 on a cyclone. well, i must say i was doing, since it was blown up 3 days ago on stage 2 of Portal to War mission.
until now, the only issue i have with missions is that they are boring and repetitive. i really dont care about difficulty, but this is a game, and i would like to see more engaging missions, or interesting, or enjoyable.
i dont want EVE: Morrowind, or baldurs gate, but i think there is a lot of room for improvement.
second thing, i lost my cyclone to the amarr navy on Portal to War, stage 2. of course, it was my fault, i jumped through the gate at least twice before the navy arrived, but i couldnt kill the cruisers, and had to warp out, so the third time i jumped, there was the amarr navy.
i had time to warp out with half structure, but since i had the ship fully insured, i thought, oh, wtf, i am going to try again.
thats is where i lost it. my problem is that it was not a fair fight, because after the jump, on arriving to the camp, i had to face 10 seconds of heavy lag from all these rats, so when i regained control over my ship, it was not a ship any more, it was a pod.
i probably could have petitioned, but instead i bought a +3 implant, since i am facing exams now and can not play often.
so there is my second problem with missions. lag. and lag kills.
and the third one. stupid but invulnerable rats. that is silly. please CCP, do not make invulnerable rats just for the sake of it, because you are not able to make them smarter. i dont care if they have the same ships that we do. i would accept getting blown by npc cruisers if i was on a frig, or 3 cruisers killing me on a BC, but please, dont give them super powers. how am i supposed to kill a damm fast frig, with my long range cyclone, if it is invulnerable to webs? i can not out run it, i can not nos it, i can not web it, i can not paint it. it is stupid.
