Edited by: Yaay on 26/12/2005 03:42:10 Well, 2 things:
One, I'm on holiday break, so I can't remember the name of the mission but.... it's from a Caldari agent where it's a 5 part mission where the first stage is nothing but elite galante navy ships.
I know that mission has heard quite a bit of grief, and I for one think it's poorly rewarded for the difficulty and mismarked by they agent. Agent makes it sound like cake and payout is like 600k on a high quality lvl 4 agent.
5 Galante Gamma Frigs scramble and web... more that 3 strength from several reports, and give you no chance to warp out and no chance to fight them off before your ship dies. I ran this mission with 2 accounts, one in a vengence, one in a cerberus and the cerberus litterally died in about 45 seconds.... time enough to kill one interceptor. I've also heard of fully tanked apocs going down as well as other ships on this mission.
The agent didn't even tell you who you were fighting so scouting would be the only real chance you have on this mission, and even then, you really don't stand a chance with 1, maybe even with 2 ships. I mean heck, for a cerberus, which has a strong natural resist to galante, whom shoot em missles from what I've come to understand recently, and no way of knowing what you're facing, it's just completely out of balance... either with difficulty or payout. And the agent details really need to be addressed on this one.... Agent should be some tipe of scout for you on this mission or it is truely a time sink.
Two, the most simple way to fix these missions is to either take auto agro out of deadspace or allow for us to choose how far we want to warp into a deadspace complex. It makes no sense to setup for range only to have to deal with a close range group automatically.
What's the point of ever using a cruise missle ship, or a cerberus if everthing is close range. Sure I can use another ship, but why should I have to. These ships are perfectly suited to missions so long as they are allowed to use their range to at least some degree.
