I was out of town for a few days and this morning I finally got to play RMR. I run two accounts and have been doing missions lately, lvl 4. When I warp into a deadspace spot now, 10 seconds after both ships have arrived I get a BSOD. The error is Bad_Pool_Header. I've begun looking for a solution on the web and the first few pages I have read point to bad drivers but I NEVER had this issue before on Tranq. Does RMR require patching my device software?
NE1 else having this issue?

have no problems at all running 2 accounts in missions with RMR. Matter a fact they both ran stable all day long yesterday. ----------------------- Nuttin ^^ |

You may have out of date or corrupted drivers.

This happened to me as well. If you have sound running on both accounts try turning it off on one of them, seemed to work for me!

I tried the "one account with sound off" and it didn't help.
I updated my Video drivers. I updated my mobo Via 4in1 drivers. I updated my NIC drivers. Only thing left is to use the Manufacturer's 2002 driver for my audio over Microsofts version.
I still am getting the Bad_Pool_Header (x00000019) BSOD.

I get this as well, though not always. It's also not a RMR issue I got it before. It only happens when I have both clients running at the same time while both being displayed to a different screen.
The loud burst of static it shoves out into my headphones when it happens is also another distinct plus

Have you tried disabling sun oclusion. This was a big bug in eve and I dont know if its ever been fixed.
I run 2 accounts in RMR using an ATi 9600m with 5.11 drivers & AC97 Sound but disable the sound as it laggs me to death. << Insert whitty sig here >>

And make sure you run both clients on a different installation. Eve does not always like having one installion run twice, although this worked fine for me untill castor upgrade to exodus

Edited by: Lester Mako on 19/12/2005 14:07:25 LOL, ok guys, thanks for the tips but I have been playing Eve since retail release. I know most tricks and fixes. I do not run two accounts off of one installation.
I just updated my Sound drivers to manuf drivers, didn't help still BSOD'd.
This NEVER happened before until 8 or 10 patches back on Test server before RMR was released. So, I feel confident something was added to RMR that my machine doesn't like.
Some other software title will get my time and I'll give this issue a couple of days and if I can't play RMR then I'll kill my accounts, and no you can't have my stuff.
PLEASE NOTE This BSOD occurs when I enter deadspace on the Vengeance (lvl4) mission, after the first few Serp ships have locked me. Then, ker-boom, BSOD.

Deadspace eats cpu. What are your system specs? I suspect your cpu might be overheating/bugging out under the load running 2 clients in deadspace takes.

Update your drivers, make sure you do your windows updates. If you have Xfire running in your background please turn it off.

Edited by: Lester Mako on 19/12/2005 14:32:37 I disabled sound on both accounts and I got 2 minutes of play before the same BSOD.
No idea about Xfire, and I don't run it.
I updated all of my device drivers.
Next, I will try turning the Sun off.....which is unrealistic and sucks hiney.
I have a 2Gb CPU and 1Gb of ram. I'm fine on resources and cooling.

Edited by: Lester Mako on 19/12/2005 14:45:03 AT the deadspace gate I am running 171Mb of RAM on one account and 176Mb on the other.
Sound on - both accounts Sun off - both accounts
Results are...
RAM - 215Mb on one, 225 on the other

Not had any BSOD's but kept CTD'ing if running two accounts on two screens. Seems fine if both clients are kept on the one screen.

I am still having this problem. Was able to play for 20 minutes but, alas, another BSOD with the same title.

I just BSOD'd when the server went down. I'm not running two accounts and I've never had this problem before.

Edited by: Threefisted Olie on 19/12/2005 18:15:31 Same thing happening to me. Sometimes I get an hour before a BSOD, sometimes 5 minutes. Its only happened when the two chars were at the same roid belt. If I had to guess, I'd say that it has something to do with the number of objects variables floating is space. Lester, maybe you should see how long it takes you to crash in a roid belt, I bet your stable for a lot longer because the rocks aren't moving.
Edit-is your system overclocked?

Edited by: Andrue on 19/12/2005 18:27:38 Post RMR the client seems to need more resources. I never could run with both accounts in space at once but I could at least leave one docked in a station or at a safespot. It was pretty obvious in my case that it was lack of GFX memory (I only have 128MB for my Go6800).
Now the fps drop too much even with the other account idle.
I reckon the client is grabbing more textual memory and it might have pushed your machine a bit too far. -- (Battle hardened miner)

I've noticed huge memory leaks...eve starts at 130mb and creeps up to over 400mb after an hour or 2. And no it's not my drivers or a bad win xp install, it does it on both pc's one with a very recent format and re install. It never did this before rmr, I have to use a program called Freemem to get back some ram every 10 mins.

Once I destroyed the NPCs my memory requirements dropped to around 200Mb.
CCP seems to have reset my account somehow, I have the n00b tutor.

An endless string of BSOD. Once again a victim of CCP patching. I've seen this before. I'll come back after the hotfix(s).

Still seems like a heat related problem. Since you played longer with some of the graphics turned down i would bet your vid card is heating up and crashing.

Lester : I had the same problem during the first 2-3 times, until I discovered that "audio" had been enabled during patching of the client. I turned it off, and my puter is stable as a rock again.

Read this Lester, this could help you.
I know its for NT 4.0 systems, but its the only article Microsoft have for that stop error, and considering that Windows2000 and XP are built on similar code, it might be worth looking into.
Cheers

Hmmm...I seem to have been experiencing something along the same lines. Warp into deadspace...get into combat with rats....sooner or later...graphical glitching(Various screens blinking in and out of view....sometimes enemies appear to be cloaking/uncloaking etc...),Then after a while ..CTD...and comp restart with BSOD....getting driver error ..yet have recently installed windows..it and all drivers up to date and only started happening since RMR.
So far it's RMR...2 me nil....as the bad lag the other day caused me to lose a destroyer....and this glitching cost me a rifter today...couldn't see the damned targets or the warp to target screen....and bet I have bugger all chance of any form of re-imbursement.
