The armour/shield fleet imbalance has been staggering yet CCP does nothing.
When Incursions first came out there was a balance between shields/armour but CCP broke it with the Escalation nerf's site cahanges ( just look at what happened with null Incursions being decimated because armour fleet doctorines are perfered there )
I can't help but thinking when it comes to PvE CCP DEV's are now either clueless about how shields have an overwelming advantage with passive regeneration/repping at he beginnning of a cycle or they just hate armour PvE 
Does CCP have some unstated policy that gang PvP should be armour & gang PvE shield based?
Unfortunely I guess due to unavailable resources thnx to space barbie allocations it looks like CCP maroons expansions' updates for years on end so I don't expect much change but still am disappointed

Factional Warfare was ignored, overlooked and treated by CCP as a non-existant part of EvE for years. 4 of them, to be precise.
I'm not saying that they're not going to do anything for Incursions, just don't hold your breath waiting for the changes. |

It's almost like you have a choice of which to use, and could freely use the better one or something.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I had to ROFL at this.
When I worked at Intel they literally used to withhold technology while they waited for AMD benchmarks, and would only release it if AMD won.
A brilliant strategy that lost them many customers. I could really see CCP taking a page out of their playbook like that.

When I stared doing Incursions Darth was kinda normal, and my alt was a full blood amarr pilot.
When they changed 'Nerfed' Incursions my alt was a fair Nightmare pilot (T2 tachys)
And Darth started these 'Armor got screwed' threads.
Now my alt is a fully trained shield (Both BS-5) Mach pilot (T2 artys and autos)
Darth really? you probably already know the term 'Adapt or Die' and I am sure you can fit a shield ship, so what is it? the principle of the thing?

I have tilted at my fair share of windmills in my day, but I have no delusions when it comes to CCP and their proposed changes by the time we hear about them they are rarely proposed and most likely set in stone. Of course that being said they did roll back some of the Incursion nerf after 6 months, and ... well at least that was something anyways.
But we have our own version of Don Quixote here in Darth, so keep up the fight all the best to you.

The only imbalance I see is the crap DPS put out by Armor ships. Therefore making it take longer to clear a site, and causing people to retrain for shield ships so they can make bank.
It is known....armor for pvp, shield for pve. Get with the program. |

Armour and shield tanking are balanced for incursions, its just that armour takes more SP and more ISK to do it. The reason armour fleets is so bad is 100% pure perception.
People think that armour fleets are bad -> people go to shield fleets -> armour fleets have to take ****-fit T1 battleships because there isn't anyone else to chose -> armour fleets ARE now bad -> repeat from the start. |

fit a slave set and you get more ehp out of armor ships than you do shield ships having more mids and the required 3 dmg mods in lows, a slave set is even gonna cost you less than pimping your shield ship for better ehp |

3 lows and 2 rigs is more than enough to armour tank Incursions. Hell you can do it on a Paladin with 2 lows and no rigs, which leaves 5 low slots for damage mods.
Anyone complaining that armour ships can't fit for gank is over-tanking their ships. |

Its just like you can sub and 1 slot tank many t3s if you have reliable boosts and good skills.
Armor fleets also haven't put as much effort into new fittings and pushing the envelope, so they aren't running quite as refined of tactics for speed. The majority of their implementation seems to be and have been on survivability uber all, so the communities that either require full shiny or run optimized for speed with much smaller safety margins will be faster. |
