I think there is going to be an upsurge in hi-sec protection services.
Hell i may even start a second account to take advantage of this (damn lousy sec status  )
More player content, more conflict, more difficult choices, more interaction.
I think the can flagging is spot on tbh

Newbs are a part of an NPC corp with thousands online at a time.
All it requires is a simple, "Anyone in ****, Ore Stealer just stole my ore, shoot him when you can."

I think people should realise that this is still the new toy on the block. So every wannabe pirate wants to play the game.
Give it a few weeks/a month and people will realise that the percentage falling for it, does not equal the time put into it.
Should anyone persist in that playing style - well, that just adds a little extra flavour to the game in my opinion.
But this will die down, slow but sure, I think.
The change is good.

the unfortunate thing about secure containers is they fit nicely in the hold of a hauler and cant be anchored in high sec space where anyone that needs em is mining. the better solution is for ccp to add an ability for players to jettison secure jet cans... short lived, maybe a few more hours, than regular jet cans, or until emptied.
I was thinking CCP should put together a low slot module or something, while equipped all jetcans created would have security reinforcements and a passcode or something.... make it cheap and easy to get for the new players.... would be cool to see.

I wonder if all you high sec miners know most pirates don't travel in uncrowded systems.
Get out of those systems with 40-300 people in local and high sec mining is very viable.
Heh I still prefer my low sec, at least now if some high sec jerk kills my ship I can always bump into him in empire and say hello with a warp scram and 720's
I always hated seeing the high sec bum flying in high sec and not being able to do anything about it 
Funny thing is hes usually in an indy LOL
For clarification high sec pirate means a pirate with positive sec status.
