 sigh my my happy moments was short, just few minutes ago, the weird freeze came back!! whatever i did ealier gave me some a few hours of nice playtime. Hope CCP can find out what's causing this. GL

Same has been happening to me, though it seems ok after restarting eve this time

I had this majorly annoying problem as well. I scoured the forums and found someone suggesting that you change the processor affinity for eve.exe in the task manager so that it only uses 1 processor. This obviously only applies to people with HT chips. I tried this while sitting at the login screen and ever since I have had no more lockup problems. Just for grins I went through the thread on boosting FPS even though I'm getting 45 on average and I made a few more tweaks. It seems to be running great now.

This is a memory leak problem that was brought about by the RMR patch, ccp is currently working on it, that means we'll have a fix about 1 week before the next patch is launched

THANKS so much! the Setting for the Processor Affinity solved my 3 seconds freezing problem , haven't had the freeze since i set EvE to just use "1 CPU", thanks again Gjerrod. Still cant get the frame rate to be as good as ColdWar, but i can really enjoy RMR now without the freeze. i can't thank you enough for sharing the Tip

I figured I'd report back since I've been able to solve the issue for myself. I had been trying all the things in this thread since I posted in it to avail. What finally worked for me, believe it or not, was closing the Rookie Help channel. I thought I was never going to get rid of this problem!
Try it. I hope it works for you, because I know how incredibly annoying the problem is. Especially in battle.

OMG i cant beleive it. That worked! Hahaha! I closed my rookie help chanel and it fixed it!
At least so far, that hitch is completely gone! Thank you SO much!
