warp bubbles are pretty cool because they can pull someone out of warp 100km early.
howz about some remote interdiction.
remote interdiction would probably be a nullsec/wh mechanic like bubbles.
basically you have three(or more ships) each with a interdiction module (maybe 2.)
these ships could form a triangle of interdiction sitting on a traveled spacelane
gate a to gate b for example.
or gate a to pl4, moon 3.
The interdiction ships would have the effect of pulling a ship out of warp at the point of interdiction.
You could make them hislots so the interdiction ships do less dps.
you could make it so only heavy interdictors or even only BS or caps could fit the module, this would give the smaller ship qq pilots the opporunity to escape after being pulled out of warp.
to appease the qqers you could also make it so that a ship is pulled out of warp but overshoots the interdiction triangle by some distance.

three ships form a triangle (similar to how logisitics pilots do with energy transfer and reps) anything that passes through the center of the triangle is pulled out of warp.
What ships are able to fit the mod? well you could make it heavy interdictors or bs or maybe caps only. idk.

Sounds like an interesting Idea, I would make this a single ship usable With a new T2 BC/BS to fill the role, as this is a fairly natural progression interdictors, Heavy Interdictors and then this new Subspace Nullifier. I would drop target ships at a random range 15Km to 140Km after the Bubble in the direction of travel through it. No additional cool-down on being able to then warp away, so this new ship would need a support fleet to catch the targets. I'm kinda thinking that this module would have a similar restriction to a Cyno in that it wouldn't be able to move whilst the module is in use, I'm also thinking that it would also burn fuel in a similar way to a Cyno, maybe at a reduced rate to a cyno though. |

Or you could just..... Drop a bubble at the same point.... Nothing stops you putting a bubble half way between gates rather than at the gate itself. |

I think what he is asking is a mechanic to pull things out of warp in middle of their warp, so you could force people out of warp in the middle of nowhere instead of just a short distance away from their warp destination. You can't do that with a bubble. |

I think you can if you place it like 1AU from the Gate right in on the line to a celestial...you can place them wherever you want but you have to travel there first. BM's are the tool needed for this and not a new ship.

You can even warp right through a bubble in your starter grid if the destination is on another grid.
Also, 100km spread actually works in favour of the fishers (unless they use smartbombs/bombers). You can set up your camp on the edge of the spread, break up the enemy fleet with the fishnet and take them out one by one. |

YOu can put a bubble anywhere you like but it will only be effective withing 100km of the warp dest.
AFAIK you can put a bubble anywhere thats on grid and inline with the end destination point of the warp - if you expand the grid to 400+km you can place a bubble at 400km and it works. |

I think you might need to read up on Grid-Fu to know what Rroff was referring too and AFAIK Grid-Fu is still applicable.

I said AFAIK as I've not done it in awhile to see if it still works but it definitely used to work. |
