I keep reading that you can set default warp in for dungeon missions (coded as deadspace). I'm flying a Cerb HAC and I set the default for 100km and I end up right on top of the spawn. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if this even works. So far I've flown my shuttle in at 15km, set the BM, and warp out. Then I come back with the Cerb and Warp within 100km and snipe the mission. Can some plz explain the technique so I don't have to use a shuttle because when I do, it starts the aggro and when I get back with the Cerb the spawn is already in full swing.
Thanx...

When I tried it, the first warp-in was at 15km, but every subsequent warp (regardless of which mission) was at the new default I set. Did you try warping in more than once?

No only once. I wonder do I have to set the default prior to accepting the mission.

default warp distance only effects "encounter" missions. deepspace or deadspace missions are uneffected as you are not "warping" in you are being thrown in by ancient tech "acceleration" gates which propell you at fantastic speeds through space rather than through the use of a warp field.

True, set default doesnt work. What works is take a shuttle. Warp in and bookmark the place. Then use that bookmark to jump to.
Tried it in a lvl4 mission and worked like a charm

Where can you change the default warp in distance?

You can use your default warp in to change where you land in dungeon missions. Dungeon missions are "in" space so where you warp in from has something to say about where you land. The default warp in is how far you land from the beacon in the direction you warp in from. Try warping in from the "side" or from the other direction. That should help..

This beacons are buged, I have done the new zazzmaz mission (lvl4) were Zor is, and set default 100km and use gang warp, bouth members set 100km and still 1 will end up, 40km or 15km, it is completly random. I tryed it with 2 accounts in shuttle, set tiffrent range default but only got the same range in 10% of the runs I tried. ------------------------------------------- Member of 3FA |

u cant control where u come out of warp in DS by changing defaults or setting BMs.
in each DS area there is a warp beacon , when u activate the accel gate it warps u to that beacon regardless of what ur warp default is set at.
the only time u can control range is where there is no accel gate. u will then arrive at whatever ur warp to option was from the mission BM.

There are new missions (Tech secrets 3 of 3) that say they are deadspace but do not use accel gates so there is no warp XYZ from the warp in spot like on kill missions, but you can get around this by setting your default warp in distance prior to warping into the mission.
P.S. I think you have to warp somewhere first after setting the new distance for it to take affect so... Set distance to 100km, warp to a gate/station/whatever and you will still arrive at your old distance, then jump to the the mission/whatever and you will arrive 100km from the warp in spot. ******************** Join Public Channel "Christian Public Access" for great fellowship and fun |
