Customs office? I don't need no stinkin' customs office to get my PI products, right? Just do one of those "vertical launches" to "place my goods at a random spot in orbit."
Well, fine, but... they don't seem to have shown up. I had a probe launcher and such handy, and scanned about, and didn't come up with anything but somebody's lost drone... which at least shows that I still know how to scan, but it's NOT my mechanical parts.
So, if you DO use a "vertical launch" to avoid customs (or, in a few weeks, because you don't HAVE customs), how do you pick up the goods? |

Hello,
Check in your journal under planetary launches, you''l find the bookmark to warp on it... Only stays about 24h I guess... |

IIRC, they actually stay for a few days. |

Ah, yessss. There it is. Three days and some left before it re-enters, so, it sounds like they stay up for either four or five days total. |

In the long run planetary launches are very inefficient. You will definitely want to upgrade to a launch pad. |

I have a question. As a general rule, planetary launches are inefficient, but....if I have a planet in low sec, null sec, or WH and dont want to or cant have a POCO, it seems that planetary launches are the way to go.
It seems to me, that the most reasonable approach to make a P2 item like mechanical parts or enriched uranium, instead of P1, and then send it up via a planetary launch? No need for a POCO with its cost and risk that way.
I would like your opinions on the matter. |

Note that the link changes may allow you to go as far as P3 on some planets again. If sisi is updated I'll probably go look.
If you intend no interaction with the CO/POCO than use the warehouse instead of Launchpads, and make sure the CC is linked in someplace so the finished product can be shoved there prior to launch.
I may have come here from Myst Online, but that does not make me any less bloodthirsty than the average Eve player.
Just more subtle.

No need for a POCO with its cost and risk that way. You can send 333 units of P2 into orbit via a rocket at one time and the cooldown isn't terrible. With CC upgrades 5 i have self-sustaining planets that put out 240 units of P2 every day, so it's quite feasible
At the moment for exporting P3 products the tax for launching it in orbit is 50% higher than the customs tariff. If anyone has checked that on SISI, can you give us some numbers? |

You can only launch 500 m3 at a time, the capacity of a Command Center (CC).
With a spaceport you can export up to 10,000 m3 at a time for a third less than the cost of a CC launch, plus you can import. |

Yes, but with the upcoming changes to customs offices, expect to see more being launched. |
