Well I've played a lot of MMO's since they started popping up, but this is the first time I feel robbed of my money. The player vs player in this game is just so bad ... I'm new to the game, playing about a week and it seems that more powerful players can just go around killing the weaker ones. I don't care if it's my fault somehow, it shouldn't be just so easy to loose everything just for warping from place to place. I was watching the security levels of the different systems but it's just crazy. Am I supposed to spend 2 or 3 years in my home system or something? They brag about how big this game is, but you can't go anywhere! Haha! Oh well, I normally don't complain because I know this will just **** everyone off, and they will post stupid replies, but I really want my money back on this one, the game doesn't deliver what it promises at all, I mean 3 days of down time in my first week, that's a load of bull. For 15 bucks a month, yes, you do work for me now, and all this crap should *not* be an issue for paying customers.

3 days of DT was unlucky. Name me another lvl based game where a 1 week old char could beat a 3 yr old one. WoW? i tihnk not. Thats the way it is i'm afraid. a 3 month old char CAN beat an much much older one, but u have to learn how the game works. EvE isnt for everybody, it doesnt look like its for you, but pls dont come into the forums shouting its crap cause u just gonna get flamed. Also there are free trial programs under 'buddy' scheme, they are in most games, i would suggets trying those before jumping into paying for a game, i know i do

3 day downtimes are only for big patch deployments.
Why didn't you try the 14 day free trial?
Can I have your stuff?

i know what you are feeling but,
eve is a game where what u put in is what u get out, so yes time playing is big factor as all skills are time based. And players that have put in time should be able to dominate new players in terms of combat and perhaps also other aspects. If a 1 month old character killed my ship 1 vs 1, i would perhaps drop eve and pursue a future as a monk or something.
Dont feel bad, persevere and you will also come to enjoy the flavour of this game. you learnt a lesson and so move on with that valuable experience under ur belt.

LOL are you another griefer who thinks its ok for 1 year old charactrs to kill 10 day olds ones in 0.7 space? thought so. When SWG started it was at least as complex as this was. WOW is simple like SWG is NOW.
As a matter of fact if he IS so good what does he need to pick on a character who could'nt give him a fair fight even if he wanted to. Oh i forgot pvpers don't like fair fights as they might LOSE so they have to pick on people they know they can beat. IE newbies.

Dude, when you undock in your noob ship and a BIG ASS BS undocks next to you, I think you know where you stand. Get a job, make some isk, and protect your self. If you stay in a default corp and above .5 you are effectively untoucheable. (Well unless you get suckered into a duel) ____ If your not dyin' your not tryin'. |

Are you an IDIOT? Because only IDIOTS pick fights they know they'll lose. Whats the point in that?

Goodbye lil boy. Have fun playing a kiddy mmo and leave EvE to the grown ups.
BTW I have charged head long into fights I knew I could not win. But only for the purpose of bailing out a corp mate. Any other reason to pick a losing fight is stupid.

I think I'll add that to my sig.
Here these will help

there is a little option in the map browser called safest route you know?
This is my second month playing and ive already helped gank a ship and ive been in one minor fleet battle, lost my thorax, but who cares? I recieved insurance money and my corp provides fittings anyways.
Oh btw... if you think PVP is horrible then just watch this..
First... AMG ENEMIES
Next... Weeeee fleet formation in less than 5 minutes.
Finally... Some fun :D
We did lose that battle though, but it was fun. Oh and id just like to say good fight if any one that was involved is reading this.
Now on a final note.. dont expect to start playing the game and be able to kill people imediately. No MMOs are like that, none that i have played any ways. You might not be able to kill others, but u can assist your corp mates in killing others. By "tackling" basically running in and warp scrambling them so they cant run.
Oh and if youre not even out of that n00b corp yet, thats why ure not having fun. __________________________________________________

dont worry boutit, my best advice is get a corp..get a job, its alot funner and safer that way. do missions in a 0.5 or above, if u want combat, eventually u can go higher, and get biogger and better ships and no1 can touch you =) theres always a way to counter the unprepared

funny thing that, as I was popping older players during my first weeks, as I've been moving about in low sec, have had my homebases in low sec, explored 0.0; without loosing more then some cheap ass frigs - it seems we sir. are playing two diffrent games, but if not can I have your stuff?

You mustve been fighting some n00bs out there then.. either that or you were flying around with other ships, then u cant really take credit for the kill. __________________________________________________

I would say can I have your stuff, but you probably dont have anything. Normally I dont worry about this stuff, but geez man. Ya freaking whiner. I am guessing Eve is a little too complex for you. Hell, WoW may be too much for you. There is a little game called Oz out there. Maybe thats more your speed... _______________________________________________

3 days of downtime... well, that, to be honest is just damn awful timing and bad luck, you started just as the content was bieng updated, with all the problems associated with it. most games would've charged you $30 for the update, so, I daresay a week or two of problems as they fix it is more worth it, in the long run.
you're a week old, frankly, you're equivalent of a lvl 1 or 2 character in a levelled mmo at the moment. would you go off to the pvp flagged areas home to lvl40-60 characters in another mmo after a week?
doubt it.
and, you can choose to avoid unsafe space, till you get a hang on the game. a month of gameplay will teach you enough.
Eve is uncompromising, harsh, and downright unfair, in many ways. you die, you do loose everything you've worked for. but at the same time, that's it's great beauty. it really is a game which pulls no punches, does'nt give players a padded sandbox to play with. you either love it or hate it, frankly, and it does'nt suit everyone.
it's a shame it did'nt suit you, but, I'd suggest you stick it out for the month, and slowly you'll start to find the niches that you like, and also learn to avoid the bits you dont. a lot of eve is about perseverance and paitience, compated to other mmo's grind up to level X.
best I can suggest.
