Hi all,
I have run agent missions for a long time, but I am really clueless when it comes to COSMOS. Is there a good FAQ on this to explain the basics of how COSMOS works? I see lots of posts regarding where the agents are located but I haven't seen any that cover such simple concepts like.
1) how are COSMOS agents different from regular agents
2) what is the difference between COSMOS rewards vs regular agent rewards? I have heard that there are unique versions of modules handed out as COSMOS rewards that are the same stats, just different names, is it mostly just vanity rewards?
3) I have heard that the skills like hacking and archaeology are used in COSMOS, but is there a list of skills you need before starting COSMOS missions?
4) are COSMOS missions just a long string of story line missions? Or is there a pool of COSMOS missions and you randomly get like regular missions?
5) are COSMOS missions worth bothering with? More interested in entertainment value that grinding out ISK...

Hiya Hanover
1) they are in space mission agents. 2) you get funny named bpc's sometimes and faction ammo as rewards often just cash sometimes even implants 3) i started with minmatar cosmos missions you indeed need archeology and hacking or a friend that has these skills :D now doing gallente missions haven't needed any of these skills yet 4) all the missions are storyline missions some are just single missions most are multi part missions. At the end you allways get standing increase towards the faction of the agent. 5) well they are challenging allthough the gallente are boring and sometimes anoying specially when you got a bugged frigate that only ones a day spawns.... but overall they involve teamwork which is a change with the usuall missions :)

So, cosmos missions act like regular complex, if somebody took mission before u and get a key or somethin, u have to wait for a respawn? Well its hard to get a mission bonus reward that way :)
Cosmos agent lvl1 as listed on http://eveinfo.com/ are only doable in frigs, like complexes lvl1?

Yes, but usually the respawn rate is very high, apart the afore mentioned case (jark npc) the key npc usually respawns in one or two hours top

Best thing to do is to raid all the complex's for a week with a buddy or two and gather a pool of the items the rats drop, then go get missions from the in space agents. Also, some cosmos items can be found in the asteroid belts so don't forget to scavange the rat loot in the belts. Are there any particular places to find these COSMOS agents? Or is it luck-of-the-draw to see one flying around?

Everybody get a post-it and a pencil, please, and write this down, glue it to your monitors and learn it by heart.
COSMOS mission locations by nation are the following:
Amarr -> Araz constellation in Kador Caldari -> Okkelen constellation in the Forge Gallente -> Algintal constellation in Sinq Laison Minmatar -> Ani constellation in Metropolis
