CCP needs people like you who think beyond what is already their for a new expansion. Things which are already their can be fixed/changed in patches which come regularly. New expansions should have new stuff us old players are kinda boured :P Any ways this is a good idea for what can be a high sec exploration content. High sec gates not claimable / active for a specified period of time for any one to take it / way back might be a problem untill we think of same procedure for the other end which brings us back to high sec (random) if players don't have skills to make it at the other end "self distrust" lose everything or wait in the hope for other players to take gate and save your ass:D

I started playing eve right after odyssey, based on videos I have seen on old exploration I have to say I like the new system better. But the mini game is not that impressive, and more of a pain on the ass if anything, and all you get are decryptors. There should definitely be more things in exploration that aren't the same data relic sites. |

I like the idea of deep space exploration and finding new systems.
I was thinking that maybe you should have to build a sort of deep space scanner building in a pos to scan for new solar systems and deep space cosmic signatures outside and between known solar systems.

I would like to see more exploration content as well. Lots of the complex items from the old static 1-2/10 complexes are going for too much again. What i would like to see in low and null is a major boost in the amount of combat exploration sites. New ones that drop pirate faction and low level DED items(small abc-type mods). This will reduce prices on faction and small complex items and allow more people to have a chance to enjoy this part of the game instead of just the people farming.
A couple problems with your range idea though. -Deep space probes do not exist anymore. -CCP does not want deep space safe spots.
It would be nice to see more combat sites in low and null with good bounty rates if nothing else. It would also be nice to see these sites in any location within the solar system limits instead of just within 4-6au of a planet. Im all for scattering the exploration sites and a healthy increase in low and null sec combat sigs. I enjoy most all of the combat sigs I find besides the horrible outpost, would love to see some more new rated and unrated ones. The annex is a good example of a good mid level drop complex but pretty much all the unrated complexes could use boost in availability. Complex drone mods are needed because drone ded space is bad.

Id like to find site that is hard to locate and needs high exploration skills (no matter what sec).
Then, I would like to warp to that location and find:
Destroyed ship / Colony / Base / use imagination.
I would like to Analyze ship / colony / base, ect, to see if it has something valuable in it. I might find some valuable parts and Analyzer might let me know that it is possible to extract data from targets computer.
I activate my Hacking tool and bypass firewall. (Need good skills). If successful, I find scraps of data. If fail, data is lost.
After I finished poking around I activate my salvager and salvage whatever I can.
While salvaging, I check data I extracted from computer and it gives me location and pass code.
Fly though systems till I finally arrive at coordinates and scan down system. (Once again, need very good skills).
I locate old gate and proceed to activate it. With pass code correct, I jump into unknown.
I am now in space pocket of 5-7 solar systems (all 0 security, all random everytime), all connected by ancient gates. But those gates do not work properly. In those 5-7 pockets of solar systems, I spend my time scanning down relic / data sites, discover ancient ruins or space structures with codes or parts to activate gates to next systems and treasures/salvage.
Pockets are just few solar systems, probably relics of past.
I am not alone. Someone else could discover same information as I did and may be lurking in same system I am.
Power of gates will diminish on every use and eventually in few days or will shut down permanently. I need to hurry. |

Not too terribly long ago there was a thing called "spelunking" - which was basically using a glitch in the game to create REALLY deep safe spots. CCP decided they didn't like that for some reason and nerfed things down so that nothing can go farther from the star than the furthest celestial body (plus a few AU). Best compromise would be stuff 15au+ above or below the system plane so that it'd actually require some effort to find. Instead of the current rule of "within 4au of a planet".
And new systems aren't terribly likely either. Better bet would be new deadspace pocket spawns until you clear it.
Still it's a good idea. Anything that would allow data/relic sites to escalate like a combat site would be cool. What would be even cooler is if they were completely randomized. So no more "check the guide to see what the expedition is like". Something more like "here's a list of 30 potential scenarios each step of the escalation can lead to", and it's randomly chosen each time.

None of the ideas apparently matter to CCP because they do not appear to read these posts.
It is all a lost cause anyway. I give up.
They have managed to completely break the entire exploration system beyond repair at this point.

All exploration content in eve is just farming. Esspecially now with noob friendly scanning and all these "in your face" changes. Also systems are now ending at last moon. Thats just stuipid. CCP is making the game smaller is what I feel. V |

HOLY **** they may have actually fixed it. It only took a week and they have absolutely no idea how to communicate with anyone but what the hell...they seem to have fixed the bigger issues for now. They must have brought in some outside assistance or asked a couple explorers what to do.....lol
