Edited by: Studyloo on 26/12/2005 12:47:15 Was the intention of the RMR patch to make npcing a no risk endevour? I now witness some of the lamest strategies used to farm the overseers of some of the highest level complexes.
I dont recall seeing a scrambler npc and ive NEVER seen a webber since the patch.
People are going into high level complexes in their cruisers/HACS, pulling the whole level 100-150km to the side, killing the overseer and then leaving, ignoring the rest of the level, destroying the complex for all, why are they able to do this? Because there are little/no scrambler npcs and NO web npcs to stop them.

Patch changed pirate composition. Maybe the pirate groups in your fav. complex no longer include webbers?
But they exist out there. As for the jammers, you probably just got lucky. They have a ridiculously low chance of succeeding per cycle at targetjamming you, for example. ---

This is a joke right?
Every combat mission I go on I'm either webbed or warp jammed or both.

Edited by: Arshes Nei on 26/12/2005 15:03:42 Well i did realize some strange behavior by those guardian veterans(serpentis webber+scrambler) in my missions. One day i warped into a mission spawn with 5 guardian veterans and lots of cruisers with partly false hardeners and thought i would die a messy death, but they didnt web or scramble me at all. In the end i even ignored them until all cruisers where dead cause they plainly where no danger
Edit: its reproducable, just happened again. They also move slower than the cruiser which is pretty strange imho.

Were these NPCs warp scrambling from 100-150km before?

i really hate wasting my time replying to trolls, but here it is
they pull the whole level to about 150km away from the start, the only thing that can keep up with them is the frigates/overseer, they kill the overseer, and warp out.

what he means is, with a fast ship you can get the majority of the complex to chase you, so you keep moving away from the group until they are 150km away from the overseer (as they are following you), and then use a bit of clever manouvering to get back to the overseer and kill it before the support are back in lock-range. If they webbed you, you wouldn't be able to do that technique unless you managed to outrun the webbers.
Vagabonds rule at this technique btw. ------------- Please make Minmatar overpowered, CCP |

well than that settles it, i've been dampend and lost my lock in a serph complex but never webbed or scrambled since the patch.
ccp need to fix these npcs, people are exploiting the fact that the npcs dont web/scramble in complexes, thats a bad bug imo.

0.0 belt ratting since the patch (bloods), i've been scrambled on a couple of occasions, but not webbed. The scrambler frigs are 'elite' now, hence rarer spawns. More kinds of elite frigs also diluted their numbers.
i have been nossed regularly and dampened too.

In missions, I've noticed that any frigate with the word "webifier" in the title doesn't do anything but slowly orbit at 49 m/s. Vipers, Guardians, etc have been fine, but those "Webifiers" are sitting there without a pilot, IMHO.
I've seen this on multiple lvl 3 missions so far (different factions as well).

Yeah there's a bug with those "webifiers" . Thing is when you have them on lock they usualy seem to web themselves. Though, each time I've been jammed with one of those around, suddenly they decided to stop webbing themselves and activating their MWD. Jamm wears off, I relock them, and puf they desactivate MWD and web themselves again .
I surely have been webbed several times while doing missions since RMR, and if you look at the threads concerning the new missions, you'll see that you are quite often scrambled too (or even scrambled + webbed + jammed). I guess it all depends on the rats faction and where they spawn (belts, complexes, missions).
