I originally bought my EVE subscription through Origin because they offered a free Catalyst. Did I lose some API functionality versus just buying it through CCP ? Can I do character transfers? Are all features enabled? |

You'll have full access to everything I'm sure. As for API that's blocked for a short while for everyone after newly created characters. It will become active.

Good news is, you are not limited in anything. But do yourself a favor and uninstall anything origin related, than call EA and ask them kindly to shove your account up their a-holes and delete all your user data. Takes a few attempts, as their lines are probably full of customers demanding the same.
Bad news - not even a daily shower will remove the stench left by using Origin in the first place. Some studies (not yet fnished) appear to be close to confirming it also leaves a mark on your soul. That will never go away and you will be stuck to using similar poor quality services by other , most probably even worse , companies.

If you used the RAPTR app you could get a free catalyst too, but you do not need to commit to price or anything for it.
It's what drew me into this game (RAPTR tracks xbox, pc, and psn games) and gives in game rewards for time played. |
