I have been playing Eve nearly from launch and i love it.
Recently however im more and more loosing interest in it.( far from cancelling lol but still). It seems to me its more and more adressed only at hardcore players who can play 4 hours daily at least.
The biggest disspointment for me are battles, in current state of Eve its very very hard to be in a bigger fleet fight.ITs all about hitting and hiding or camping .Its all about time you can devote to fight.Nobody get ever surprised if they got enough time for scouting with alts etc.Only ones getting caucght are those with little time for playing that dont want to waste it on logging moving alts etc.
Also i fear the new carriers.Imho they will be ultra pwn mobiles only for ultra haardcore players that can afford them.Unlike dreads , with their fighters, they can hit anything.
For me pvp fight is the heart of Eve, if i cant fight i will go and play some starategic single player games, much more fun then doing missions or other imho single player stuff.
I dont have any solution for this , its just how i feel and many others do.Maybe time to introduce some mechanics to make things go faster in Eve,make battles occure much more often with less place for scouting with alts etc.?

Well imho you are lucky to get any fights at all.
My exp is or i rush alone through chockepoints and most often end being ganked.
Or i scout assemble team and by the time we arrive every enemy is docked/ss-ed.

Thanks for your opinion blazerd, but rember you dont talk to someone that doesnt know Eve combat , i ahve been pvp ing in eve for around 2 years.
I get your points but imho that realism takes to much time.If you work or study i dont understand how can you afford to play 4 hours non-stop to get into fight and not get frustrated when enmie docks or logs.
Imho avoiding combat is to easy and real fights not ganking are damn rare.

Good post,good points blazed.
Maybe i begin to have to little time for Eve.
Still i hope action could get a bit accelarated and satisfy both your type and mine:)
As for winig combat in other way then shooting.Yea i know it.And i hate it.And most poeple i know hate it.Because in alliance warfare usually wining means boring out your enemies. Camping them in station , not risking losing ships when yuo are outnumbered so they dont have fun and so on.
For me tatical pvp combat is the pinnacle of eve. With shots and explosions:)

Partly you got my point Rod. But unless it gets to bad i can live with that.I was prepared to get into hac much later then others, and i had no problem with this. Also i have no problem with fact hac is to expensive to pvp for me.
The other, more annyoing for me part, was that everything in pvp seems to take more time these days.I am not sure why. Real small gang fights are rareity , everyone or gank and run or there is the 4 hours scouting and probing of big fleets , often ending without fight.
