"OMFG, theres something the raven dosnt suck at anymore! its supposed to suck! nerf please!" :P Short range outfitted raven winning is as it should. Try fighting long range with a raven using either cruise or torps. If you loose to such a raven you have issues.
So its not like its the end of all ends ship. Dont go close range if you cant handle it. Adapt, thats what we have had to do multiple times this year.

"without breaking a sweat" is a grave exagaration. Its not as easy as you make it sound. It just takes different tactics to beat a close range raven today than it did before the patch. Hardly anyone flying a raven are "garanteed victory" That you cant beat them with your pre RMR setups isnt a suprise. Those pilots that owned you have adapted to first the missile nerf then to coldwar and RMR. You should adapt too.
If it was a win button more would fly it than what currently do. Its no lack of people who have skills for it as everyone used ravens for lvl4s before Missile nerf.
I think its more an issue of people being too used to raven being the black sheep and punshing bag of the battleships that this kind of change upsets their view of the world.

The point of a raven is to be strong against other battleships as they do practically no damage to smaller ships and they can't mine like the other battleships. I personally regret going with a raven as it is so specialized. I wish I went for an Apoc instead so I would have more options of things I could do with the ship.

if CCP does what the people here wants. Then the raven needs a significant boost against both small targets and at range. Its already useless in fleets cus its damage isnt instant so it cant contribute to focused fire. Its also useless compared to turret ships against cruisers and below. Also due to the state of cruises its also useless at range.
1 vs 1 battleship combat is all the raven has. And that isnt much in itself to be honnest. Id rather have all the above than the 1 vs 1 battleship capability. But atelast its something.

Instead of whining about the raven, why not whine about the dominix, instead, which is far more of a "win" button in PvP.
Probably because most of the whiners here are mega pilots. Domi is their other BS choise. I doubt they want to admit just how owerpowered it is in the same situations they complain about the raven. But hypocricy is usualy blind. |
