when I warped in, I was about 50km from nearest rat... not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that I have default warp distance set at 100km... probably not since I landed next to a beacon
Course once you've seen one Yeti you've seen them all. |

Hmmmm looks it bugged though cause people saying they go in and get auto aggroed?
i never got auto aggroed
their are 4 groups
2 groups ceptors 4 wingmen kill each group alone offcourse.
the 2 last groups nm who u aggro they all attack, get red of the ceptors as quick as u can and the spider drones so u can warp out easy.

I did this mission 2 times so far. You need to do one thing before warping in:
Change your default warp in distance to 100km
Then you have some range to the spawns. I sniped the lookouts and and the cruisers and killed the rest in a blasterthron. Also when the rats aproach you and you warp out, then they move back to their original position. ------ BlogÖ |

You loose a ship and thats a reason for quit? Just do lvl 1 Missions in you BS and you dont have any problem. Or do you want "no risk" lvl 4 missions? Its hard to loose a ship with that kind of fitting - shure - but where is the fun if there is no risk?
I only think that "insta popup deadspace" mission should be fixed - and with insta popup i mean insta popup of a correct and heavy tankt BS.

Set your "Default Warp in Distance" to 100km. Worked 6/6 times so far for me. Just my poor gangmate had 15km and when we gangwarped he somehow didnt take my 100km but his 15km. :( those 100km will drop u at 50km from nearest rat.
Kill those 2 groups of 4 seven lookouts at the wings first. When u shoot the middle spawn all aggro at once. But after one warpout they seemed somehow divided back into 2 groups or even more. I can do it without probs in a sniper mega with just a medium shieldbooster. Get range. Kill zor. jump out. jump in at range again. thats it. had to warpout just once after i killed zor. Thats a 425mm t2 megathron with thorium at 93km optimal
Hope that helped somebody. and if u dont believe just take a shuttle and try that 100km warpin.

I did this mission 13 times after patch and there is a small possibility to get a "ZOR Custom Navigation HYPER-LINK" Implant, which gives a Speed Boost to MWD and AB of 5%, well it dropped only 1/13 sofar besides our loved ZOR imp

Ouch.....I've used shuttle's just to explore the newer lv4 missions, I would prefer to spend a little bit more time getting an idea of what to expect than go in and get my Navy Raven blown into bits.
I did all missions except Angel Extravaganza and I was able to tank them all. SO after looking at award for finishing mission I though is semihard mission, but after I started attacking they all attack me, to be honest not to many, but it was to much for me. Which is still suprise to me. Good I didnt used Vindicator. but still this mission is bugged, its dead space but no gate, and you can warp straigh on your BM.

This mission blows, I lost a Raven to it with t2 gear and was ****ed off. but yes it's bugged, you warp in on top of everthing & get insta agro, no warp in gate either. and it's SO LAGGY.
I did it again with a mate in a fully faction fitted raven and we both had to warp out more than once. I gang warped us in, I'm 50km away & he landed right in the middle of everything.
By some miracle he was able to warp out and luckily we were able to ewarp back in and finish it without dying... but this mission is g@y War is a conflict that determines not who is right -- but who is left. |

i just lost my raven with my named and T2 fitting in this mission 
the damn problem was i got a funny bookmark from my agent calls DEADSPACE so i warped to without any knowledge whats waiting for me !!!
i warped into the hell on 15 km.... they attacked me all insta, scrambled from the 8 lookouts and smashed by the bodyguards,assassins,zor and whatever too was there....
NO jumpgate into deadspace..no deadspace lol  Dunno if i should thanks my agent or ccp  I wrote a petition cause i think it isnt fair... I hope i get help...

I've tried this twice now, and both times completed it easily.
And guess what? I have almost no fighting skills. I'm a carebear miner/producer that usually do lvl 3 missions in a battleship, and a few safe level 4s. I don't even have 1 million in Gunnery after 20 months of playing.
Here's how you do it:
a) Warp in with a shuttle, place a bookmark. Warp back. b) Warp in to that bookmark (to a distance you like), kill the 2 groups of 4 Seven Lookouts. c) Align towards somewhere safe, and when you are at a reasonable distance, aggro the remaining groups. Kill the spider drones first, and whatever you can before you most likely have to warp out (I've had to warp out once each time at this point). d)Return and clean up the mess.
So I don't know why you blame CCP, if you don't know what to expect, use a shuttle to scout, and be as careful as you can. If you are doing level 4 missions, you should be able to guess (or know) what can scramble you.

Just refine your procedure like any mission, just make sure you can handle the inties/spiders quickly and you can warp in and out at will.

just use a HAC to tank it. no bookmarks needed. warped in, aligned, started taking them out as they came, webbers/scramblers first.

Now when I get this mission I set my warp to 100km and I am far enough away to hit them with cruise and get it done fairly easily. All the other missions seem just as easy to do solo now except I can no longer paint any of the daddy NPC's anymore. But the wierd thing is they seem to die more easily anyway. Prolly because I have finally decided to get my missile skills up to a good level now. Dones next :)
As for a 30 mil implant the only one I got worth around that was a +3 perc and that was off the Boss Apoc in the last of the "war" missions.
On a side note unless it's a mission you are sure that uses gates set your warp to 100km. resetting to 15 and going to the gate is alot less hassle than losing a ship.

Warping right in the center of the entire spawn is not "difficult"? Would love to see your setup that allows you to tank every NPC in the deadspace pocket, as that's what the peeps are complaining about.

I've finished this one a couple times - I run a multi ship setup (1 megathron and 1 ferox on a second account as a battery backup for the mega). A word of warning on the warp to gate setup for 100km, I used group "warp to the gate" with my default on the megathron when I did this the mega arrived at 100km as expected but the ferox was dropped into the middle of the bunch at 15km and was practically insta killed. Ended up losing both ships :( If you aren't prepared to lose it - don't fly it. |

Beware of Gang Warping on this mission as this seems to be a problem. I lost my Raven as my main warped straight into the group whereas my backup alt warped in 54km away!
If you use 2 ships .. warp your main in at 100km then warp second ship to gang member .. seeems to work fine.

I was hit with Cataclysm cruise, Havoc heavy and Piranha lights.
I found the best tactic is to make a safe spot, eject from your ship and warp in with your pod. This will allow you to see what's in there and dosn't aggro anything. Bookmark the warpin boy and then you'll have a reliable warpin point.
The wingmen are hard to kill in a BS so taking on the main group first is handy, you'll get rid of a lot of potential damage dealers, then mop up anything left. One WCS will make sure you can get out alive.

I suppose I can understand everyone's frustration with this mission pre RMR.
A corp mate and I went in with our AF's 1 semi tanked Harpy and a usual NPC tanked Retribution. was an easy mission once we cleared the frigs.. The harpy died with 2 frigs to go but probably wouldn't have done so had it been properly setup.. ie EM resistance on the shield.
Once the frigs were gone it was a walk in the park with cruisers and Zor going down pretty quickly.
I've heard of other corp mates going in with intys and wiping out the frigs and then coming back in with BS or AF to clean the rest out...
Haven't done it again since RMR.
I wonder if they'd give my mate back his harpy... lol

This mission " righthand of zazzmatazz' is very easy. The keypoint is to make a bm in a shuttle first. Then warp at 100km from that bm. The mission is nerfed since the last patch. Less lookouts and less bodyguards.
They changed also the argo from the groups. When you enter zor and the bodyguards will argo. What i do is kill zor and the other bs first. Then go for the cruisers.

And to be honest, Angel Extravaganza Level 4 is one of the easier missions, the only thing is, it takes long to complete. But every spawn attacks one by one, so it's very easy to kill it one by one. People like you (that lost a ship and started whining about it) are responsible for that some nice and challanging missions were nerfed and became easier and easier so that everyone can do it while reading a book and cleaning his flat at same time. Lear to live with losses or stop playing games.

You sir, are a fool. A large proportion of the losses that have been stated here have been due to BUGS in the game. How would you feel if you spent close to a year putting all your assets into your ship (knowing that you could be overpowered by foes), and have it all lost because warp drive wouldnt kick in, or the deadspace wouldnt show on overview, or being killed in warp, or scrambled by every single rat.
CCP occasionally try to make missions harder. However the biggest ****up CCP has done to date, they keep on adding to. Deadspace instances are KILLING mission running. Generating huge amounts of lag, not just for the mission runner, but everyone in the system. The point, is that CCP would be complete retards if they decided to implement Level 5 missions without addressing the current issues with deadspace and lag. Petitions would be huge with players saying they never even got to see their opponents before dying.
Deadspace NEEDS to have a lot less crap inside it. Who needs all those walls?? Sure, a handfull of structures are nice, but FFS how much further do they plan on taking it. When a person warps in and entire deadspace spawn attacks you right away, the effects that are loading:
1) The 15 Asteroids that are scattered around 2) The 25 walls that are supposedly there to provide asthetics 3) The 10 random structures (radio/outpost/etc) 4) The 4 sentries 5) The Stronghold 6) The environment (ie some having mist/fog effects) 7) The 30 frigs 8) The 15 cruisers 9) The 3-4 battleships 10) Every shot that is fired from each of the 30 frigs 11) Every shot that is fired from each of the 15 cruisers 12) Every shot that is fired from the 3-4 battleships 13) Your own ship, and effects (shield hardeners, target painters, nos) 14) Every shot that your own ship fires
This is just a basic example of what happens on some of these missions. When the whole spawn aggro's (happense fairly often these days with rogue drones in our ships), 50% of the time it can be under the above 14 conditions.Imagine the lag that is being generated having to load the above. This isnt taking any npc visual effects into account, their speed/movement/ew abilities.
CCP need to stop and really decide where they want missions to go. In their current state, they are DEFINETLY not suited for Level 5 right now. Some changes I would propose:
1) Halve amount of rats in deadspace/Double difficulty+bounty 2) Click the DELETE ALL button on ALL walls 3) A way to turn off/limit visual effects (handy for both pvp/npc) 4) Remove the asteroids (who has a mining laser on their CN Raven?)
Virtually all of the reasons for death that I stated at the start of my post,have ONE thing in common. LAG.Without lag, modules would activate when they were told, warp would initiate correctly, rats would fire in-sync with the damage. Sure, the answer may be to double amount of nodes in every system. However this isnt practical. Therefore the above 4 points need to be studied carefully. One thing that I would say is an often occurance in loss of ship, would be drones. I dont believe this to be a lag issue, due to the drone reduction they seem to produce minimal lag.

it works!!!!! So for snippers its very easy to do and if they come to close ? ............ RUN BTW what about snipper & close range fitting...
