My char name is actually a combination of the names of 2 book authors. I needed a name when I started and couldn't think of anything. So I saw the books, took the names, mixed it up and presto.

I made mine up at a party at my place in which I A: got drunk, B: decided to give the trial a go.
Been stuck with the name and face of a 20th century dictator ever since, as I dont want to restart the skilltraining time/implants.
Now I'm used to it, and 'Schik' has a nice ring to it anyways.

I used to go by my real name on irc back in '95, but since it ends with an i a bunch of americans thought I was a girl. So I added the first letter of my surename at the end and people stoped asking me what I was wearing.
But, it's not that fun to use your real name when you're gaming so I reused the first name from an old Dark Future character of mine, Gugge Budgie, an added the surename D'ldoe because I have a very childish sense of humor. Gugge D'ldoe lived on for a couple of years but that joke is only funny the first 10,000 times so I decided to change again.
Normaly when I sign notes or similar informal papers I just sign them with and M because that's the first letter in my name. And since your name has to be at least four characters long in Eve I just added "Mr " in front of that.
(And it still makes me laugh whenever I get the chance to say "It's Mr M to you".)

The bad guy in the game is Moorkus Rex, and I just altered it a bit...
The name has stuck with me since 1995, just never came up with a better one
