Great spreadsheet!
I think I may have found a problem, though it could be an error on my part.
I'm having problems with the Mining Calculator sheet. I entered 10 names, and just plugged in some random numbers into mineral amounts and mining times. It calculates the ISK share for the first person okay, but the next 2 cells contain "0" in the first one, and "#VALUE!" in the second. The next cell has a correct ISK Share, then the next 2 are screwy like the others. This pattern repeats down the list.
This is just a problem I found when playing with the sheet, I wasn't entering any "actual" data.
I'm using MS Office 2003.

Yeah, I just threw stuff into that ship calculator sheet (there could be moreà). I think my next task should be to add more to the DPS section and maybe calculators for different combat areas. I didn't want to get skills involved (where you have to select your skill levels). In my opinion, the more values the user has to change and refer to his character sheet, the more likely he will stick to his trusty hand calculator. If you guys/gals think adding skills wouldn't make a huge hassle for the user, I can implement that. (For example: Select your missile skill levels, etc... and it will output the amount of damage a selected launcher/ammo would do. OR adding a refining calculator that you have to input your skill levels and standings into?)

Aye, no problem. As for the morphite - The tech 1 side of the build sheet is for the tech 1 variant of the module or ship you are building. The tech 2 side is what you would need to turn that T1 item into a T2 item. (For Example: The build requirements for a Rupture go into the left side (where only minerals are), and the requirements for the Muninn go under the right side. The total build is the price of both the T1 variant and the T2 materials.) Hope that explain my thought process :). ______________________________________

Looks good. Haven't used it yet. But will attempt that next time i need to cost something out.
Any possibility of only having the mineral prices on one page instead of just about every page? That's something that we added into the spreadsheet that i usually use - get's annoying after a while if you have to change mineral prices on 9 sheets :( (Plus, that spreadsheet only deals with ship construction).
More later.

@Komi -> There are prices on 9 different sheets, but you only modify the "Prices" sheet. Changing those values changes every other price in the spreadsheet. The one page controls them all =). The prices on other sheets are protected, and cannot be modified. ______________________________________

Mmm, looks nice, but you've missed a few things...
For example, your capacitor and shield regeneration calculations are incorrect, as it's not linear....it changes based on how full your ships capacitor/shield is.
Your reprocessing sheet does not support any of the new rocks...only the base versions.
Your POS calculations..what if someone wanted to do something crazy like..stick the wrong race guns on?
It needs some work, but it looks like a good start.
Feel free to look at the way I've solved some of the issues when I've made my own sheet <points down to sig for download link>

For example, your capacitor and shield regeneration calculations are incorrect, as it's not linear....it changes based on how full your ships capacitor/shield is.
-I didn't really want to calculate the actual cap recharge during each step of the way. I used the formula to calculate it at peak.
Your reprocessing sheet does not support any of the new rocks...only the base versions.
- I used a 5% increase on all ore values to take the average between standard ore and rich ore (+10%). It is not meant to include normal, +5% and +10% ore types, otherwise the sheet starts to get overcrowded with three times the amount of rows it has now.
Your POS calculations..what if someone wanted to do something crazy like..stick the wrong race guns on?
-Putting the wrong guns on will not give you the control tower bonuses for those guns. (If applicable) I could include all structures on each sheet, but then we get into the crowded issue again. It is possible that someone might want to stick amarr lasers on a minmatar control tower - but that is asking for those freedom fighters out there to come and blow up your POS. If people request the ability (majority) û I can add it.
-> Thanks for your advice though. I'm not sure if I should change it to the 3 ore types, etc... If that needed by the people using it û it can be done.

Another note: The missile DPS calculator has been deleted from the sheet at some point, and will be added again - soon.
P.S. - The corp share has been added. No value needs to be put in, but if the corp does get something, please enter the number as if it were the percent. ( Example: "20" for 20%, without the quotes.) - Don't include the "%" sign.

Hi dragnol and thanks for the sheet - already found very useful
A thought... As we are primarily a mining corp and we pay our members for ORE before refining, would it be possible to add an ORE section to the group mining page? Along with this if there was a ORE price section in blue cells like the mineral prices then it would save on having to recalculate via the ore refining sheet...
Just a thought :)

Could add that. What would make the entire process easier would be:
-linking the ore prices with the ore refine sheet, so when you modify the mineral prices on the prices sheet, the ore prices change, which also change the mining shares.
Mineral Prices will influence the price per unit of ore. The cells which contain the price per unit of ore will be directly linked to the mining share calculator.
I can start working on adding this. :) - soon. -Dragonol ______________________________________

Hmmm... Just occurred to me.. If you want to calculate a certain ME level from the eve-online site (which are perfect builds at ME infinate :P).
Goto the "ME&PE Calculator" page, and view the chart... use those waste percentages to add onto 100%. I'll show below.
Waste Percentage Chart Waste % / ME Level 10.00% / 0 5.00% / 1 3.33%/ 2 2.50%/ 3 2.00%/ 4 1.67%/ 5 1.43%/ 6 1.25%/ 7 1.11%/ 8 0.91%/ 10 0.77%/ 12 0.67%/ 14 0.59%/ 16 0.53%/ 18 0.48%/ 20
Add the above percet for the ME you want to 100%, so for Ex, take ME 5. Add 100% + 1.67% = 101.67% and divide by 100. This decimal can then be used to multiply the perfect build mineral values to get the modified waste builds.
10000 trit perfect build X 1.0167 = 10167 Trit to build it, wasting 167 trit. Round to nearest "one" place holder when doing this. ______________________________________

Not that I know of. However, one of that nature would require more work than a mineral index. Alts would either have to be placed in 2 regions of each race, or there would have to be an update by a single person flying around EvE. Ice fields in the regions would vary, and would require a check for all four races, and 2-3 regions for accuracy.

Have any newer versions of this been produced since July? I'm hoping to see something with the new ship types since Rev.

OK list of changes planned: -An ME space above every print, so you can manually enter in the ME you want to use (instead of a constant 10 / 20) -New Battlecruisers and Old. -New Battleships
Let me know if there's anything else. ______________________________________

Thanks to Chribba for the host
Let me know if there's more to add. New errors to. I would suggest copying the new sheets, just Battleship Builds, Title and Battlecruiser Builds into your excel file, so prices and other modifications you might have made remain. Otherwise, it's ready to go after a quick price update.

Edit: Made the fixes in Open Office, let me know if it doesn't work well in Excel :). ______________________________________

some do afaik and imo t1 means that you only need minerals that you can find frome astroids in belts and morphite can be mined.

Edit: If you have customized already and don't know how to fix the errors, simply right click on the cell(s) that produced the error (one at a time) and click edit hyperlink. From there remove "A1" from the text bar which has caused the error, and double click on the correct sheet within the document. Any problems let me know in game. :)

Uber Excel. best ive ever seen!!

- Feature upgrade: Capital ME levels adjustable? cant really use it for much as-is on that part.
- It seems some of the cells on BC¦s ME are faulty, ie they dont "activate" a change in costs.
- Also please add Capital Maintenance array and Capital Assembly Array to your POS configuration tab.
Please do not stop updating this sheet!.
If you need anything let me know.

Going to modify an existing program to show almost all of the tech 1 item build prices from an export based on my corporations' mineral prices. Is anyone interested in downloading a program like this?
The system requirements are not friendly because it was intended for my use only. It's an invoice program that can show almost all tech 1 prices for our production. It has a mineral calculator as well....
Program requirements: -C: Drive -Internet Access -.Net Framework 2.0 (or later)
What the program will create in your "c" drive: a folder named "MineralCalc", It will also create anywhere from 2 to 5 text files, which will take up no more than 100 kilobytes.
If you have any security concerns, let me know. This does not contain any "malicious" code. It does not access anything besides the export from the internet (updates the text file when you open the program).
Let me know if it sounds "interesting" :).

Thanks!
With the help of a sheet user, we've found a small error on the capital ship mineral readouts...
Seems I've ignored the way excel rounds parts when ME comes into play. Need to edit a large number of formulas, will have it done soon.
(causes up to 3% error in some cases when dealing with ME'd prints.) -Dragonol- ______________________________________

I have re-formatted your file a little to make it a little easier on the eye - and used Name referencing. Also used base minerals so the formulas can be constructed correctly, and the user the just has to update the wastage factor instead of all the minerals.

At the moment this is only for Modules and Tech 1 Ships as that is all I needed - keep up the good work and hope you find some of the stuff I did useful ------ EVE Online Devs Wiki Triangle Solutions ------ |
