Okey, a guy in my Corp lost his thorax, because of this player. His name is
ôSerpentis Patrollerö yeha.. He was traveling in a 0.9 system, the guy lock him, and let me ask u, what is the first thing u think of when u see someone ôSerpentis Patrollerö lock u?
Of course u shoot back, but this wasnÆt a NPC pirate, this was a real human player.
And I must ask, isnÆt this some kind of exploit? Can u really do something like this?
He also blew my friends Cargo, so I could not recover his stuff..
I know 4-5 Other players in the same system fell for this stupid trick,
lost very expensive items/ships.

CCP, or anyone û Please ban this guy from playing eve; ban his IP too, please.

This happened to Said Zerrouki of RONA Corporation when I was a member of that corp.
CCP didn't replace his ship.
Same character, same trick.

This is similar to the griefers with the Angel npc names too.
Always check your targets, if its a plus, blast, if square, griefer.

File an Exploit petition and explain it. The GM's will make him change his name and/or ban him.

Well we shouldnt expect CCP to change their policy of never replacing anything. But they should force this player to change his name.

Do you check Info on every 2k pirate that appears in a system that houses many other pirates of the same name?

I heard of this happening a while ago, I thought CCP was going to make it impossible to name a character the same as set names in the game. Serpentis, Angel, Sansha, et. al.
You have to be careful to ID the ship and wait for them to shoot first, it's what I have done for a long time.

Now THAT's sneaky.
It's also a result of the law of unintended consequences. It's a domino effect:
1. A n00b in a Velator was able to defeat your friend and take his stuff...
2. Because the gate sentry guns took out your friend on his behalf...
3. Because your friend locked and fired on him...
4. Because there are different rules for combat against NPCs vs. against player characters...
5. Because carebears complained that system security was lax...
6. Because pirates were gatecamping in secure space...
7. Because up until a little while ago, they could...
8. Because CCP made the game that way.
Mr. Serpentis is being both clever and deceptive, but I'm not certain this rises to the level of an exploit. It's like camouflage.

Yes.. its really easy to ask your self why u shoot at him now afterwards, But itÆs a pure eve-reflex ;)
Damn I really hope they replace the ship, or he will quit  .. damn! Why are ppl doing this?

and ...he is in capsule so just after your encounter with him somone have destroy his ship but not is capsule :/

this is a exploit, pure and simple.
he's useing a NPC's name <most MMORPG's this is bad in and of it's self>
he's useing said name to grief people in .9 space.
serpentis patrollers frequent .9-.5 space. and when someone sees a patroller locking onto you, do you check the icon? no. you lock on and fire.
this person is a pathetic little piece of trash that needs kicked out on his ass

Be cause I myself dont have the power to ban somebody for ingame issues.. If its petitioned properly in game it will go through the proper channels and all.. Even mods have to follow rules..

They said before that names like serpentis and other EVE side names like that where on a list you couldnt use, like a banned word list.
apears that was a lie aswell.
