For some crazy reason I decided to try my hand at making some EVE videos. Each video will have lots of small scale solo fights and include whatever commentary as to what I think is happening.

I must say though that changing your speed to AB speed is pretty stupid unless you know how they are fit. You should look at their guns/launchers first to determine how they're fit and then do it. Those rocket condors would be more willing to engage you if you MWD'd straight at them as it means they have more range control in the fight whereas changing your speed to AB-like speeds would only work if they were LML fit.
I fully understand your logic. What you have to understand however is the specific environment of faction warfare. I feel that my tristan can kill an AB fit rocket condor no problem. However a MWD fit long point condor, with links, is a real threat. Unfortunately links are very common in faction warfare so I have to be particularly careful of this threat. By hiding the MWD, if it turns out he tries to kite me, and thanks to links he has sufficient speed/point range to do so, I have to force him to make a mistake. By pretending to have an afterburner, he is much more likely to be less careful and allow me to use a sudden unexpected burst of speed to either escape, or land a scram on him. Looking at his weapons does not help since a rocket fit condor could very well just be a tackler for a gang. He doesn't need to do any dps to hold me. |

Kill All the Things - Episode 2 - She only loves me when she drinks - Faction warfare PVP with a Slicer
This video is similar to the first in that it is not some massive uber pwnage, but rather just typical solo PVP. In it I am learning how to fly a slicer. My first two fights are a bit fail as I work the kinks out, but by the end I think I have the ship down.
