I am starting this thread simply because I am curious...Curious as to what the Eve community feels regarding the corps/alliances that inhabit the north or south of 0.0 space...and east and west to not leave anyone out. But I feel this could be a good place (flames aside) for people to vocalize reasons why certain regions may be better than others for whatever reason...and ONLY POST IF YOU HAVE evidence to back up your claims :D -------- Now being an ex-member of The Merchant Marines, and thus an old Xetic member, and now a lower-level leader in KOS alliance, my heart firmly sits in the southern hemisphere. While I am ignorant overall of any other region of eve, the south has been...stimulating to say the least. There is never a dull moment (thx SE <3) and the fighting is everywhere one week, then all quiet the next. Galaxion	Posted - 2006.01.01 23:20:00 - [6] Yea, the consensus of the whole north is that it is not that profitable, and i think the reason the north is so much more unstable than the south (for newer players, see: GNW) is because there are so few really good places to make isk. -----------------------------------------
Grimpak	Posted - 2006.01.02 00:42:00 - [7] north is also more accessible than south. you have to do some real number of jumps and cross sometimes almost 10 jumps without spacestations in empire (HED route). North.. well you have torrinos wich is arround 5 jumps from X-7 (or less?) wich is the middle of a 0.0 region with npc stations, and think that is not that common in the south. South only arround 2 regions have npc stations (afaik?), one of them being Curse, while the most productive regions, ore and npc'ing wise barely have a infrastructure to make it viable. ..but hey, at least we in ASCN are trying to do it worthwhile eh? ------------------- Celestial Horizon: we go zerg on you

Still its quite nice but I like some of the systems up north better.

Dracorimus	Posted - 2006.01.02 14:31:00 - [23] I think in terms of the areas, the south is much better, better belts for the miner types, nice NPC's for the isk farmer types and plenty of space for us PVP'ers to rock and roll in. North is crap compared, I have been here for over a month it sucks :( - Shrike > BALLS DROPPED IN BELT AvanCade > lol Shrike > that didnt sound good.

Streetrip	Posted - 2006.01.02 18:29:00 - [28] The North is smaller and you'd think that'd mean it'd be easier to defend? well not really considering you got alot of access ways in. The North however seems to be quite stable with long lasting alliances such as PA/F-E/G/IRON. The South too has its long lasting alliances but some areas seem to be very unstable changing hands all the time. Its got good complexes/ores/easier to defend space and the lot. For crying out loud a faction Medium Armor Rep goes for around 250mill where in the north a faction Lrg Shield Booster would be lucky to go beyond 150mill. For crying out loud us northeners dont even have a 10/10 plex! The whole north vs south is mostly a bias thing formed by old enemies etc. So for instance if two lots fought it out in the north, one went south. North attacks south but also **es off the locals, they band up against north and then they ** off locals...north vs south.
