[1] Edited by: Devil Mann on 28/08/2003 22:31:45 Well i foolishly tried to jump a gate camped by stavros and some other guy tekforce. My first run in with MoO in the game within 2 months of play. Went to the sytem P3 or something...the one near syndicate without doing my homework... was off to find some ark and bistot fields Id been tipped off about. Well i got there and soon discovered that my info was very wrong and that i was now stuck behind a MoO blockade. Local Guy Silver striker gave me bookmark to insta jump the gate. I was paranoid at first but took my Chances. I went to the star and watched local as stavros and silver kept ***** slapping each other....Deep Breath..... Warp drive active. "PLZ dont drop me in front of em..." was all i could think. Hazzaa... i dropped right by the gate and jumped... The joy and a giant smile crossed my face... Id made it... Unfortunately there was too ships waiting right where i landed. Derelicts ?... strange. These were obviously big ass ships and it hadnt occured to check em in Info. My autopilot had moved me away to quick. I assumed that Moo had others in the other system ready to grab any that did get through. As i traveled to the next gate i mailed silver thanking him for the bookmark. Un aware of the trouble slowly gaining on me. I came out of warp to a clear gate... Ahh... Of course about now the threat indicator goes mad and i turn to my horror as 2 Battleships(armageddons or apocalypses) warp straight in behind me..How could i be so stupid. They had come straight after me.....I wondered why they d want to chase one lowly MOA but there was no time for evasive maunevers and i didnt even get the chance to self destruct. About 1 minute later im reading a mail from myself about how we got nailed and that my clone was activated. I never even got to smack talk with my pirate assailents. well my 4 million insurance didnt quite cover my MOA and weapons that i lost and i resigned my self to bed to think about where i would go next....and stavros... well he was never heard of again  **last sentence may not be true and has yet to be proven Just wanted to tell a woeful tale of loss and sadness in space  . MOA had only 2 days left til retirement  thanks for your time and sympathy EVErs PS. The little gimp who sold me the wrong location did refund the cash almost instantly as i told him of the situation. was tempted to try and get damages paid out but it was half my own stupidity so left it at that. =============================================== Damn roid respawns,CTDS,Stuck systems,lost items,stuck in warp,friends list,broken map(insert more here after patch)... |
