Battleship>Battlecruiser/pocketbattleship>cruiser>destroyer>frigate>corvette>patrolboat>rubberduck?
A Frigate is generally considerd to be the smallest autonomous ship, as corvettes and smaller are not stable enough to deal with rough seas and still be effective, they also can generally do one thing while frigates can perform multiple roles.

I believe Eve gets many "average players" like my self... Only playing an hour a day or so...
If the destroyer is upped a little there is plenty room for a light destroyer... 2 less hi slots and a med/low or 2 less too... Give it better speed and a little less cargo space
Plenty of room between frigs and cruisers for 2 T1 destroyers... If people want to skip them plz do so, but I think many average players would love more T1 ships to choose from the first couple of weeks... And if they make the destroyer a bit stronger it'll cross ground better between Lv1 and Lv2 missions

and you can have one in eve already. battle bestower and battle badger are both sweet ships. never had a chance to try a battle barge but in theory you could kill an inty with one.

Getting off topic but you could make a "Sneaky Cloak" that can make your ship look like a different ship. So you could be flying a indy and it would make you look like a cruiser.

I want more ships of a crazy/insane scale. Like buster machine 3, the core of a gas giant. Compressed and made into a flying bomb capable of taking out a galazy. I think that would be a sutable end-game weapon.
