This is true i have killed rats and mined in a MOROS in Y9, believe i got 137 ore units per t2 miner per cycle, The dread probably being one of the only ships you can SOLO mine in. When your making 3billion isk a week which is 2 MOROS with my BPO, losing 2 of them is no great loss. To be honest, I would be really annoyed if i didn't have the income, but even with everything i've lost it still only adds up to just under 2 weeks game time, so my attitude is "Who Cares". I expect most people are only jelous that they can't adopt the same sort of attitude. May be oneday i'll find something better to do, but i like testing Dreads to the limit, i believe the last time Goons attacked me, they were leaving system, i actually called them back to fight me in my lone dread so i could test my set up on them, which to my dislike didn't work very well.

Well at least everyone knows to sell at 250 mill to undercut you now swaffer, and i'm sure with the attitude you have the devs will provide a few more hulk bpos into the lottery to spoil your day.
And as stated before if so rich why mine? As for being so darn rich and not caring about losing a dread or two why did you wimp out of bringing your dread to the s-u battle, and let your 3 mates lose their dreads?
Mine ya veldspar in your moros.

Some of you guys played way to much "Railroad Tycoon" before getting into eve.
Whatever price the suppliers set the resellers can top and use to artificially hold the market high as long as they can ride the wave. Like Fortain said, controlling the Eve market isn't as hard as players think. Its not a real free market and not subject to trade laws.
Those of us in the know don't buy from you guys anyway. Carebear noobs who might actually find some reason to fly a hulk are the only ones bothering to buy at these prices. Sad story is there are alot of them out there. Thats the only reason the market can soar to the prices it does.
Show me some dweeb paying 250mil for a HAC and I'll show you a guy that going to lose it in his first real fight.
Just last night one of my ..er ahh..associates popped a Hulk mining in the belts. That miner could have got almost as much out of a tricked out Covetor. Now he has about 30mil in insurance and a 500mil isk complaint of lost asset. He shouldn't bother complaining to me. Pirates do what pirates do but you guys that sold him that hulk...for 500mil isk...LOL...your the real thieves and he is the sucker. 500mil for a hulk, now thats robbery.

I stopped buying HAC when they hit 120mil and I'm plenty satisfied with my BS. Same goes for the Exhumers. I'm sure that even if you were able to supply every customers demand at once, you'd see profit increases if you dropped the price. However, with the current situation, demand is backed up so I don't see the suppliers reducing costs.
On a side note, I hate people who mark up like this. I'd go to any length to pod you if I ever came across you in space.

For example:
Let's say that hulks cost 100M to build (I don't know the real cost, but let's pretend)
If you sell hulks at 400M, you'll sell 1 a week or so... that's 300M profit
If you sell hulks at 200M, you'll probably sell 5 a week... that's 500M profit
I think this is a simplified example of how you guys are currently keeping up the market prices to your own disadvantage.. Maybe the prices are a bit different, but I'm quite sure that you would sell more at lower prices, but still giving more profits that when you would sell less at higher prices.
Or whatever, disregard everything I said and keep on waiting for that 1 sale And even if people sell lots of cheap hulks to resellers, THEY ARE STILL SELLING THEM, and a lot faster and in higher volume than the resellers themselves.

I must admit that I'm not too wel informed on the Hulk market, but if it's anything like the HAC market, your argument is flawed.
As long as you can sell a ship in the time it takes to build another one, there is no need to lower your price to increase your profit over time. Personally, I sell Rapiers, and if I sell them around 60 mil each, the amount of sales I get is about the same as the amount I can build. Sure I could sell them at 45 mil and sell them real quick, but why would I if they sell just as well at 60 mil?
Again, I don't know if how the hulk market is, but as long as demand > supply, there's no need for the producers to lower their prices.

Let's try "really", "realize", "their", and "themselves."
You sir bring to light the true meaning of "complete fool".
Oh and go ahead and continue buying your 300mil exhumers. You're probably one of the idiots who payed above market value to get to the top of the waiting list when they first came out and are the reason they are over priced, just like with the HACs.

Dont worry, i will save all t2 BPO owners from evil undercutters.
As the rapier producer in here pointed out ... prices for t2 or faction/deadspace / officer items are only artificial when the products start to pile up. I have resold hulks for 500m+ months ago, and sold them all within week - i have resold cerbs, and managed to clear 12 within a week for 220+ (was a while ago). As long as the item doesnt pile up, i couldnt care less what the poor plebs are clamoring about. Whaa overpriced. Whaa head checked. Do i care? no. Do the producers care? no. From my experiences with the pilgrim BPO owners, the current Hulk prices of ca. 450m are true - meaning all producers sell out almost their entire stock. I dont have the discipline to build stockpiles - i lower prices, and i am pretty certain that most producers are the same. I doubt there are many "true" cartells in eve.
The only way you can sell below the real market price is by
1. making me believe that the real price is lower then it actually is 2. selling in way that is extremely annoying. Stupid websites or requiring proof that the buyer can actually mine etc etc.

Excellent Theory - Now, what if you could only build, say, 1 a week?
Using your build cost calculation of 100mil per hulk
If you sell hulks at 400M, you'll sell 1 a week or so... that's 300M profit
If you sell hulks at 200M, you'll still sell 1 a week... that's 100M profit
