Hi everyone, I have a question regarding cashing in your agent LPs. Specificaly, I wonder what you people think is best balance between time input and cash return. Is it the implants and if so, which? Should I cash in the 15k basic offer or wait for the two imps at 30k? Or maybe I should grind till I get a navy cruiser offer and then accept and sell those?
I have been checking the offers database and am also quite confused in regard to connection between agent divisions and offers. Different divisions seem to offer different things, but until now I always assumed that every agent has a chance for every offer.

For lower rewards 15k appears to be the magic number. YOu can get decent implants from 10k to 20k. You can get Books at 15k. Etc.

According to the agent reward list the best offer seem to be +3 implants at 20K or 80K LP, which gives you 4 or 8 units at the cost of some high-tech small arms (for me), which, ends up, not being very expensive and better than 15k/30k/60k no small arm requirement offers.

I have no luck finding the offer you mentioned. Theres either 2 +3 imps at 20k that require small arms or 4 +2 imps at 24k that also need some high-tech things.

I don't remember the LP count (might have been 24,000) but I recently got an offer for the Political Connections skill book at the cost of LP + 10 million ISK. Considering market price is 100 million on average, it was quite the offer.
Since all my agent can benefit from it, I took it and trained it (to level 3 so far). The benefits are very real in terms of LP per mission.
This is, IMO, one of the best offers in that LP range, and it allows you to recoup your LP faster.

I have 3 high lvl 3 agents close together and work one to 15k then leave it and work on the others to 15k.When the first gives me an offer if it is not a skill book or implant (+3) then I decline the offer and do one more mission for him/her and wait for the next offer. If you go above 16k or 17k lp then they offer you something else. Btw I have a Bureaucratic Connections skill book for sale for 100 mil isk. Convo me in game

What you suggest does make sense with L3 agents, because LP gain from each subsequent mission is not too large.
But I easily make 5,000 LP on a L4 mission. Suppose I want a 15,000 LP offer and don't get it, a couple missions later I can simply forget about it.
Still, you just gave me an idea... I might run some L3 agents again so I can get social skill books. Thanks, man.

Mathematically, the best LP to ISK ratio is -
1."Connections" books (15,000 LP, kinda rare) (varies, military most expensive) 2.Faction ships, specifically the faction battleships. (IE: navy raven) (200,000LPs+)
I'm not sure about the rest or my skeevy math, but I think this is correct.

I reckon you're right. I've heard about an offer for 1.2 billion isk against 600,000 LP's : since that's about the cost of a CN Raven on escrow (more like 1.5 Bn actually) and a CN Raven BPC can be had for 200,000 LP, you are definitely right.

I had a political connections skill book from my level 3 agent, 15k lp's and 10m credits. Had 48k lp's offer of 8 +2 perception implants off my old level 4 before he moved, other than that, I've been offered Navy Comet BPC's for 200m + 15k lp's.

I recently turned down a +3 implant (cant remember which one, but not charisma) for 15k LPs - hoping to get a skill book. Was this stupid? Thanks

you need to complete another mission after each offer you turn down

No, in fact it was rather smart. Skill books have the best LP to money ratio currently, even if they are a tad hard to liquidate.

If you go too far past 15k you won't get a skillbook offer. I have gotten one with 20k lps banked but never with more than 30. Sometimes you have to cash out so you can start over.

I'm running this level 3 amar agent and have received three offers for the bureaucratic and military connections skills at 15k lp.
Now there are other connection skill books out there, does anyone know which faction offers these? or is it just a question of luck?

I got political connections from my amarr agent, I think it is just luck as to which one you get it dosn't seem to matter what division they work for but the magic number is 15000 lp's

at 600lp I got a sweet skill book I was looking for--Cruisers. Since I started last week, this was a nice .5 million bonus :)

Never had the 15k special connection type offers, recently was offered 4 cx-2 hardwiring jobbies (+5 damage all turrets) for 160k lp's and 400 elite drone AI, would have gone for it too as iirc those implants are worth a lot but could find no AI's on market or escrow.

Edited by: Werid on 06/01/2006 13:45:51 The best lp/isk offer in the agent database afaik is the caldari 1500 lp offer (the skill books are around the same number though depending on what book you get and how long you can wait with the sale)
Hawk + Small Shield Booster II + Small Armor Repairer II + 1500 LP = Harpy
So ~9m Isk + 1500 LP = ~24m Isk so 10k/LP
Edit: It's just pretty much impossible to stay at just above 1500 lp for long enough with a level 2+ agent.

Other than the crap offers, I've gotten several single +3 implant offers, one offer for (2) +2 implants and once an offer for a Caldari Battleship skillbook that went directly on the market because i already knew it. the book and +2s came at ~20K LPs from Caldari Business Tribunal running L3s. ----- my playstyle is anti-pirate. what does this mean? it means you'll never catch me in a valuable ship and/or setup where it can be compromised. go on, trade your ammo for the scraps you'll get. |

This isnt that much, you need to buy / acquire a nexus chip which is a total PITA.
Thats 2000ISK per LP
@120k LP you can get 8x +3 implants. The better ones insta sell at 38mill each. Thats 304mill or +-2500ISK / LP.
