Now that I've imported all the original zip and the two newly added tables, I am quite gobsmacked at just what can be done with the data.
If I can find the time, I'm going to do everything!! Expand my agent tool, ice belt searches, NPC database, ship fittings maybe?
It's making me dizzy just thinking __________________________________ Are you a mission runner? Have you tried our Agent Tool and Mission Guides? You should! |

Originally by: Bedrock just out of curiousity, besides the ones already mentioned, what other programs/databases are you people using for all this data? Thanks.
At the moment I'm using MySql (hey I can't afford MSSQL and I wouldn't dare run a Windows webserver, I've done that before, and its a nightmare) and ASP.Net ... although I am using ASP.Net via Mono and Apache 2 which is proving a little troublesome.
I've got a PHP book somewhere so I'll be going PHP/MySql as soon as I get some practice with it. __________________________________ Are you a mission runner? Have you tried our Agent Tool and Mission Guides? You should! |

Originally by: KaReL Lightyear Watch out... The new layout uses '.' to seperate thousands (within the cvs). It confused my program here ;).
Also... In the Denormalized csv, the "security" is not filled in for solarsystems (and also the REAL security is not filled in anymore I see).
Is it possible to export the security as the real security? Not the one we see ingame?
Thanks!
Check mapsolarsystems. I haven't downloaded the new data yet, but the data you seek was in there on the last export.
I used a double JOIN SQL query to generate the data for my True Security tool, so you should be able to also. ----- Are you a mission runner? Try our Agent Tool and Mission Guides! True System Security |

Originally by: KaReL Lightyear Not anymore I am afraid (csv speaking). It is still in the SQL-files, I just discovered that ;).
MySql is free and can import all the files almost directly - just hafta change the UNKNOWN type declaration to INT and CHAR(5000) to TEXT within the SQL files. You can do SQL queries at the command line and just copy and paste into Excel, assuming you don't know a bit of PHP / ASP ----- Are you a mission runner? Try our Agent Tool and Mission Guides!
