I lagged out warping and sat looking at a blank screen for over 10 mins.
Shame it was runied at the end by your pets smacking in local time and time again. :(
Anyhows Good Fun.
See if this we can get a fight this size again when we eventuly get new servers to play on.

Despite the lag etc etc, great fight, also last evenings ruckus in 209 almost 2 hr fight I think as well.

I got a decent play-by-play via IM. Good to finally see the sides got to get some of that bloodlust out of the way.
Cheers to both sides for sticking it out!
Now, since we established that the only issue we saw in the conflict was incredible lag...does this mean the Deklein gets fresh shiny new servers?

Both are there Valerius. The naglfar one just doesn't show up because the pilot with the final blow got trunctated. On Our Killboard, click on "both" to see it, on the Bob killboard, so search for the Naglfar pilot to see it.

I'm actually starting to believe that a good chunk of the lag is clientside. The longer you stay on, the more of a pig eve becomes. My last eve session was up to using over 800mb (on a system with 512) and as soon as I rebooted and logged back in all "lag" was gone.
Plz patch memory leak in client soon CCP :(

I spent 45 mins and 3 relogs trying to get client to respond as far as allowing me to warp in. One stage could see hostiles 16AU to my left and frinedlies 13AU to my right.
Given that all i can say is

Hope there's more of these fights later tonight.
As for the smack, I can't tell you how many times the vets and commanders have to tell people to shut the **** up in local. We've got a lot of young guns (myself included) and we'll get them trained eventually to fight it out and leave it at that.

Nope. I had my eve client running for 8+ hours and it had sucked up 140mb, and I had decent frame rates at our main POS. I tried to warp to a secondary and it took about five minutes to start warping and then another five to load, and the lag was so unbearable that I had to get out. Once back at the main pos my frame rate went back up.
Of course if you are using more RAM then you physically have then your system is going to be thrashing.

A very wise and astute move, wouldn't you agree? So far there has been one clear winner in that battle - the lag.
To the Dev that decided we no longer needed the turrets and effects hack, you are not getting a xmas card. When sitting at a control tower and EVERY time a missile hits it my machine FREEZES is utterly pathetic.
No, it isn't the best machine in the world - but it worked just fine and dandy for eve last year and the year before that.

about the memory usage, minimizing the client helps.
was a good fight, had to beg for ammo twice and im still alive arrr ;)
lookin forward to mroe of those, but as discussed in local, the 209 system seems to b better cause less lag - so u spawn ur dreads there, we too and then eltt he fun beginn

Maybe the Stabber pilot didnt listen to his FC and just spend the entire fight shooting the Naglfar untill eventually the rest of the fleet took it down?
Only non-bug explanination i can come up with.

I wish, i would be also able to be happy about some nice fights...but i didn't actually saw any hostile in JU- 'til now....i never got ANY screen loaded in the last 2-3 days in fleet actions...niente, nada, nothing...thx a lot, goddness of lag (has to be a woman, for sure! ), i appreciate this gift not letting me dy during this periods of utmost frustation...
And thx @my boss to let me miss this obviously fantastic fight in the early evening...
/me cries.....I WANT TO FIGHT TOO....!!!
